George from Super Bunnyhop takes a look at the past, present and future of Ninentendo's financial strategies to find out!
Their financials are solid, it's their advertisement that's holding them back. With the right advertisement and more game announcements, they could easily break right back into any demographic they wanted to. Games like Bayonetta 2 and X and Smash Bros cater to the core market. Many of the huge flood of indie games that are starting to come to the Wii U would be a hit with some of the casuals. If they marketed those games, really pushed them with TV adverts and viral internet ads left and right, they'd likely make some headway. Everyone seems to think that Iwata needs to be replaced. I'm of the mind that it's their head of marketing that needs a plumber-sized boot to the bum, not Iwata. They've got a great line-up with the Wii U, and the indies, 2014 games, third party spin-offs with licensed Nintendo characters in them, and the upcoming DS back-log are only going to improve that. What they need is to MAKE PEOPLE EXCITED FOR THESE THINGS. THEY! NEED! TO! AD-VER-TISE! If I could slap the entirety of Nintendo with a wet ink stamp to plaster the point onto their foreheads, I would.XD
Nintendo had the best 2013 of ANY game company.
I am sure people want Nintendo to die. Gamers have strange minds.
