PlayStation Stream Gives Us A Glimpse of The Middle East

When you wonder on to Live from PlayStation there is no guessing what you might witness; lately it has been drunk couples molesting each other. Or angry over-weight insecure war veterans abusing their wives. But we've stumbled across something actually quite interesting this evening. We recommend you check this stream out before they go offline.

Great vid. This is precisely the reason that I kinda love Playroom so much- because it gives you a glimpse into people's homes. But things I've learnt are that some people who go beyond having a joke with the broadcasters and actually just hardcore insult them. Eg using the N word to every black person they see because they can get away with it. But saying that I have also been surprised to see that many black Americans use it with each other so frequently. This makes me sad because they are saying it in kinship to one another, however they are actually perpetrating racists labelling and don't even know it.

Not saying I am, but why aren't you allowed to be racist? So what if someone is or not.

I'm surprised MS hasnt copied this yet.

Being black myself, I can say that it is a bit of a "sticking point" with us and it's quite generational. Older people think the way that you do. Younger people see it as simply taking the stigma away from the word...giving it less power. Somewhat like some women have attempted with the B word. Racism won't suddenly be worse because they use it AND won't be eradicated if they stop (there are more derogatory words for black people than any other ethnicity).
Personally, I choose not to use it in everyday conversation (though it will come out in song lyrics and jokes...). But, I guess to each his own. I try not to judge too harshly. Life is about learning what is "you" and what's not "you". Taking those lessons and doing the best with them. It is my personal belief that words have power and responsibility. Once they leave your mouth you can't get them back. You can only send others chasing after them.

@Iceman
Completely agree!
I for one believe its a way of thought control. To ban people from saying words even if they may be offensive or not to whomever. You think in language. Anyways your response was very enlightening.

Remove anonymity completely and people would have to take responsibility for their own words and behaviour.

But anonymity is a wonderful privilege sometimes too!
