FRONTBURNR: Point-and-click adventures are some of the first games that introduced me to interactive storytelling. I remember spending many nights sitting in my basement, watching my mom play the King’s Quest series. As I grew up, I took on the challenge of some of the games as well as series like Space Quest, Full Throttle, Monkey Island and more. It was one of my favorite types of games until the whole genre dried up in the early 2000′s. Recently, we’ve seen a resurgence in point-and-click adventure games. Some have shown some modernization, like The Walking Dead or The Wolf Among Us, while others try to hold onto the formula that made the genre great. Unfortunately, they are all still moderately lacking. DoubleFine’s Broken Age is a prime example of this.
