Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare hands-on with Garden Ops | OXM

OXM writes:

We took to a beach-based level fighting through two sessions of Garden Ops. The first time around, we set up our stronghold by the ocean, planting a garden in the sand while setting up turrets and healing stations around giant rock outcroppings. Whether it was our inexperience the inability to keep the fortifications in our sights, we only made it to the ninth wave, completing one "boss wave" along the way where the game randomly picks three high-level zombie foes (including undead disco dancers and giant mutant ghouls, though there's a small chance you can land on a loot drop). Our second time around, we set up (plant) shop on the boardwalk, where our views of fortifications went unblocked, our higher ground on the undead eminating from the beach, and the help of a Smartglass-toting partner dropping health and weaponry gave us the edge to make it through 15 rounds. (Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare, Xbox 360, Xbox One)
