Rumour: Halo 3 and 4 also being ported to Xbox One

Lol, to be fair it's a good thing to do 1-3. Anything beyond that is pointless though. Halo Reach, ODST, and 4 are fine as they are.

to be fair its pretty much THE ip of MS, regurgitating it in enhanced version would simply make sense, put some gravy on it and sell it again, halo fanatics will jump on it like if it was a brand new game.(wich is pretty sad in same time due to the lack of MS diversity in term of new IPs)

HD remaster of XBOX 1 game, cool, but last gen games? c'mon, that's a bit ridiculous don't you think? just as ridiculous as I think the TR Definitive Edition is!

If this is indeed true, it just shows desperation! I would hate it if Sony release ANY Definitive version of any of their PS3 game on PS4! PS2 to PS3 was fine IMO because there was the transition from SD to HD but upgraded 720p to 1080p? NO! that's kinda low IMO!

EDIT: I think the PS3 still have much life in it so, NO! Plus, they've already released a bundled Uncharted and Resistance before so any Definitive version is truly unjustified IMO!

I honestly don't even get the whole HD version thing for a last gen game... Uncharted and Last of Us are already in HD on the ps3.

If they rebuilt the games in a new next gen engine with some real next gen tech then thats one thing, but if they are upping the resolution and frame rate and thats it ( or adding wavy hair ) I don't see the point.

Halo 2 I think would be awesome if it was rebuilt in a next gen engine. but outside of that they should leave it be.

Couldn't disagree more with TR or TLoU getting a port. Those are games from the last 10 months. It's like porting GTA5 to PC 8 months after it launched.

The beauty of it is, no one is forcing these games on you. MS has a ton of games launching this year so how's a few ports gonna hurt?

As much as I'd love this, I think it's unlikely. Two versions of H2A, one of which contains ports of Halo 3 and Halo 4? Then wouldn't those ports essentially be quasi-anniversary versions themselves, which kind of undermines H2A? I say just make a Halo Anniversary Collection or something.

No Microsoft knows millions of people have not yet moved from 360 to x box 1, so they're trying to get them to move faster to next gen.

This is good for developers and Microsoft. Games can be worse when they have to be developed for 360 and the xbox 1, quality can be effected. More people on xb1 the more developers can make a game just for that platform.

I would buy the War Collection (or whatever it's called). but for no more than $70.

Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary sold with a MSRP of $39.99, assuming that was because it was a remake. People just didn't want to pay full price.

I would assume the same would happen for Halo 2, or at least hope. Also, Halo 3 is free on xb360, and Halo 4 is available with all dlc for a price of $35.
