Mapping the Road Ahead: the 2014 Racing Games Preview

VVV: "But now it’s time to map out the road ahead and find out what 2014 has to offer in the world of automotive gaming. Quite a lot, judging from the tailback of titles we’ve painstakingly compiled in this piece.

Of course, the advent of the next-generation consoles are partly to blame for this influx, which will potentially revolutionise racing games as we know them, offering tremendous strides in graphical detail and innovative online multiplayer experiences as part of this generation's 'always-connected' philosophy.

But this year’s not all about big-budget, big-name titles. Several of the games listed below actually come from smaller indie houses seeking crowd-funding in order to self-publish their titles. That's not to say they are any less deserving of your attention - in fact, many of them are innovative unique IPs that stand out against the predictable raft of mass market annual sequels like Need for Speed and Formula One." (Assetto Corsa, Driveclub, MXGP: The Official Motocross Videogame, PC, Project CARS, PS Vita, PS3, PS4, The Crew, Wii U, Xbox 360, Xbox One)

if DRIVECLUB,PROJECT CARS dont have autolog, alldrive and remind you of BURNOUT with constant drifting in every corner im sold. good bye NFS hello Project cars, Driveclub.

p.s.
EA your NFS movie will not help NFS sales this time. you killed NFS when it left BLACKBOX studio. criterion games screwed it up could not move from burnout ghost games doing no better burnout taste still in that game. time to move onto REAL racing games without burnout as the main engine.
