Worlds Factory: "Sony PR informed us that the specifics about Killzone Shadow Fall Coop DLC being free to share if you had a season pass have been removed."
Don't split the killzone community please guerrilla games. I love this game and would like all killzone players to be able to play on the same maps
Free DLC and thus a steady and united online MP community would have been a reason for me to give this game a try. Now I won't.
The co op maps aren't free but the actual multiplayer maps are so the competitive multiplayer community will not be divided
@Hatsune-Miku and @Yi-Long - You're misunderstanding this post. They aren't splitting the community. Maps will still be free for multi-player. This website just speculated that you'd be able to leech off someone else's season pass to get paid DLC. Obviously, that's not true.
They never said Co-Op was going to be free only the MP maps..this article is bullsh*t.
My apologies: If Online MP maps will be free then I misunderstood.
Killzone shadow fall has 10 multiplayer maps and it will include other 6 up to 8 more maps for free. Nobody never say coop modes will ne free, there is a season pack that cost $20 and it will include coop game modes that are based kn brand new maps designed for coop plus even more multiplayer maps.
The multiplayer DLC is still free, but co-op wasn't. This is about being able to share the co-op DLC if one person had the season pass.
that article title was a garbage choice though...being that Co-Op DLC was never "Free" in any way...the MP maps are free for everyone though..
Somehow you're getting agrees for being incredibly misinformed... The coop dlc was never free. It was a misunderstanding that was cleared up long before release. The multiplayer maps are free, still in fact. We deserve higher standards than what people submit, and approve. It's ridiculous.
Maps are free, pay extra for modes and skins.
Fair trade imo. clearly one is of better value than the other. THE FREE ONE
That's not about competitive maps. Those are free, according to what they originally said. Coop has always been a paid DLC, but then again there was this note when you bought KZ:SF season pass saying that you could share the coop pack with a friend for free. That's what they are apparently removing now.
The Co-op DLC was never free. Only the multiplayer. The Season Pass is a discount for Co-op DLC.
It was never going to be free. It's part of the season pass. Multi-player maps are free. Co-op missions are paid.
Previously, after buying the season pass the PS Store notified that you could share the co-op expansion pack for free with a friend. This has since been removed, indicating that it is no longer possible. This is what's being clarified here, nothing else.
I thought that what was announced is being able to play with a friend who owns the DLC, only when you are playing with such friend, not anything regarding getting the DLC for free if a friend bought it
It was, but some clowns found the wording to be just slightly off and made articles about it. So, Sony removed that description. Welcome to journalism.
The wording implied the co-op expansion DLC could be shared for free with a friend. Those were the exact words on the PS Store, as reported in the original article. However, it looks like they removed that, so if you and a friend want to play together the coop DLC, both of you will have to buy it.
... are you sure that's what you thought? http://n4g.com/news/1442757...
Yes, the comment you are referring to only states that you can download (only once) the DLC using your (the buyer's) PSN info into another PS4
sadly took this game back not enough people play it
Usually 200-300 people in the first 4 Warzone maps that is plenty enough people.
It will only show players online in your region, if it wasn't region split it would show about 20-30k ish players online
not enough man i would always get thrown in the same lobbies it got boring. see if it wasn't region split i would have kept idk why they even made it region split so dumb
It's weird that the number of player is low, since Sony just announced 2.1 million units sold. Then again, I've never had to wait more than a few seconds to join a game.
I just want to know when the co-op mode comes out.
Killzone is Boss! I didn't get the season pass, but will still pay full price for co-op! I always have to take turns with my friends that come over.
They never said co-op was free. Multiplayer is. Flamebait A-holes.
What the heck are you talking about? This is a clarification on a notification that appeared to everyone who bought a KZ:SF season pass on PS Store, stating that you could share the co-op pack with a friend for free. However, it looks like this is no longer valid and Sony removed the notice. This is what is being reported.
It would be good to get some images/info/gameplay on the coop. I have got absolutely no idea what it will be like. New maps? New approaches to missions? New gameplay modes? I'm curious. Any info anyone?
People see "free" and assume everything is going to be free. GG said that the multiplayer maps are free. That's it. Why would there be a season pass if all dlc was free? Learn to read people!
Lol this is rdiculus, pay full price for game, pay for MP, pay for coop MP. I guess that $400 price tag really starting to paying off :D
I assume you're an Xbot fan. Actually competitive maps will be released for free, unlike most games, that is NOT the topic of the article which is just a clarification on season pass & coop DLC being sharable for free with a friend.
@CapsLocke You are ridiculous. Has that $500 you wasted starting to pay off?
the village idiot is out of his village
Really, people failing completely at reading comprehension and trying to pin it on the site that is actually informing people that the coop cannot be shared anymore if you bought a season pass, as per original notification of the PS Store. There's no "click/flame" bait here, just bringing a news on behalf of Sony who evidently changed their stance on this. Nowhere is implied that the coop pack was completely free in the actual articles, the real problem on N4G is that some people comment without even reading the full article.
As long as I can pop some heads on some new maps I'm good. I don't need co op
