Contrast, the adventure platformer out now for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and PC, has surpassed one million downloads on PSN Store.
Well being one of the first free titles sure couldn't be the reason.
Wasn't this free? Shouldn't that number then be higher?
Yeah it was free. No idea why the number isn't higher but that's still pretty good.
Probably simply because it didn't sound that interesting to some or they were too busy playing retail games still. Some PS4 users probably still don't have PS+ too although they are probably the minority this early on (as early adopters are often some of the more diehard game/tech fans). The number will likely continue to rise as more people buy the system although the Dev likely isn't seeing much other than what Sony contracted them for. Still, it is a rather unique platformer which has little reason not to at least give it a try.
Free for PS+ not everybody buys PS+ just like not everybody buys Gold.
not everyone downloads all free games if it don't look interesting to them
I know about 10 people that skipped the game.
does that include the PS+ free downloads? seems like more than a million would of downloaded it just in the week of launch... I downloaded it the day the PS4 came out, but still haven't gotten around to trying it, and have only played about 10mins of Resogun...
Yeah it does. And unfortunately I have no idea why the number isn't higher but it's still good.
a million DL s on a console with less then 5 million sold (reported) and that's bad? This game has been DL'd by 20% of the install base. How is that unfortunate?
Great numbers for a fun game. Loved the art style of it.
Congratulations to the team.
I asked a friend if he had downloaded any of the instant game collection and he didn't have a clue what I was talking about. He has had plus since launch!
wonder how well it did on the 360? This is good for the developer maybe get their name out there a bit more
I really dug this game. Played the hell out of it at launch. Such a neat art style and vibe. It even caught my wife's attention, which told me it was really different and unique in a great way. Gratz to the devs.
Love the atmosphere of this game. Nice that it was free.
