Telltale the Walking Dead Season 2: Why we Love and Hate it

Telltales’ The Walking Dead season 2 episode one is out and ready to suck players into its surprises and dramatics. As usual Telltale yet again releases a magnificent episode to accompany the rest of their critically acclaimed work on The Walking Dead and we too loved it again. So why can it be said that a game which literally took over an industry is loved and hated? (PC, PS3, The Walking Dead: Episode 2 "Starved for Help", Xbox 360)

I think they took it too far with the dog thing. Who wants to see a little girl kill a dog? I mean i know why it had to be done but it was just sad to see she could have had a loving companion but instead of that she got bit and it got killed and that bite lead her into a world more trouble... I think Telltale thinks what made them popular is the hard stuff but really it was a good game with good storytelling. I sure hope the company doesn’t loose site of that in brutality.

In every story, movie, and anything the dog always dies. It's a rule.

'sad to see she could have had a loving companion'

Thats why that part was genius. It was cliche as hell for the whole 'post apocalyptic dog friend', which is what every one of us was thinking as we threw that frisbee, and that got utterly flipped on its head when it bit us. And cats are better anyway

People always find a way to criticize that which so many find awesome and is already established. It's always the cool thing to do as people voice their dislike over that which is popular to highlight their individuality.
