Tomb Raider Definitive Edition Out Today On PS4

Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition is often declared a passion project at Crystal Dynamics, and in my opinion it shows. Lara’s next-gen debut united three studios — leads from Crystal, longtime partner Nixxes, and Sleeping Dogs’ United Front Games — to usher Tomb Raider into a new generation of gaming.

Fixed, forget Xbox One then.

Completely misses original link to article is from (which is funny because YOU are the submitter).

Oh, and the OFFICIAL PlayStation blog is going to mention the Xbox One version too. /s

Seriously though it was a poor move of you (the original article submitter) to link to a biased source then post such a comment. You could have just as easily posted a similar article from a less biased source in the first submission. You are just baiting.

My post was reported since I used the video from the Playstation Blog, when I was reporting that it was out for both systems. I don't care about PS4 vs Xbox One

Anyone else finding this rather difficult to find in stores? I went to two GameStops, a Target, Best Buy, and a Walmart - none of them had the game in stock. The ones that did received less than 5 copies apparently.

I typically order new releases online, but as this is kind of an impulse buy - I figured I'd just head to the store and pick up a copy. Seems not.

I looked while I was at Target today. It was already sold out. I'll probably just download it.

I just dropped by Walmart assuming they would have it, but nope, nowhere to be seen. Ordered online when I got home.

real definitive version is $8.99 on amazon

only thing is doesn't have that the ps4 version has is all those jaggies

also it features 1200p, 1440p, 1600p at up to 120 frames per second in 3d as well

lol....its funny how they call the inferior, more expensive version definitive

Rageanitus1754d ago

It's is definite to those who have not played it and dont game on PC.

For me I am definitely not re-purchasing this game especially it is now ~10 dollars on other platforms

CrossingEden1754d ago (Edited 1754d ago )

But it doesn't have the new lighting, the NEWER tress FX tech, the drip maps, the subsurface light scattering for skin, the NEWER enhanced environmental effects, or the new lara croft model, here's a comparison for the pc fanboys still in denial
Now bring on the reply-less disagrees because fanboys can't stand to be faced with actual facts.

aaron58291754d ago

you sir, are being ridiculous. There are no visible jaggies. Delusional person you are.

Ju1754d ago

How do you play this on the PS4?

d3nworth11754d ago

Although I dont agree with square calling it the definitive version and charging $60. I have yet to see a PS4 game with any jaggies. Plus those features only apply to machines capable of doing it.

beatled1754d ago

EVERY ps4 game I have played

killzone sf

have been covered in jaggies

i played the ps3 version. Now im playing the ps4 version. i honestly dont really feel much difference, except for the awesome good looks and smooth gameplay. still a great game btw. still loving it.

ambientFLIER1754d ago (Edited 1754d ago )

So, you don't see any differences other than better graphics and smoother gameplay? Well…considering that those two things were the only changes, I'd say that you are correct...
