Top 10 Most Disappointing Endings Of All Time

Chadley of Punch Nerds goes through a highlights the most terrible endings to great games. This Top 10 was made ONLY with games that Chadley himself has beaten. If your favorite isn't in there, complain about it in the comments, that's what they're there for. (Assassin's Creed III, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Culture, Final Fantasy VIII, GameCube, Mass Effect 3, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, Metroid Other M, PS3, Retro, Star Fox: Assault, Wii, Xbox 360)

Hah. I appreciate the little disclaimer. ;) I don't agree with every choice if we're talking about all-time here. But it was still an entertaining read, and imo a bit better than the normal blog types we usually see.

How about..

Quake (DOS)

Just a simple a "Congratulations, you have beaten Quake" as you fly around the room on a loop

Jurassic Park (SNES)

Again, another simple message. You get to the helicopter landing pad, you can hear a helicopter then the screen starts to white out as the screen starts to zoom all over the place. Once the screen is completely white it says "Congratulations you escaped from Jurassic Park" What make this ending bad is the fact that you couldn't save your progress on this version of the game. You had to play it all the way through.. took me about 10hrs.

Eye of the Beholder (DOS/Amiga)

This one is a doozie - once you beat the game (it's a pretty hard game) the game immediately drops you back to the DOS/Command prompt.. that's your ending.

Metal Gear Rising's very last scene may have been disappointing but the final boss sure was something completely out of this world. Hilarious and mind-blowing at the same time

Enslaved and Vanquish both had a very disappointing endings.

Tomb Raider although I highly rate and recommend, great everything but felt the ending was a little bit weak.

FFVIII really has one of the worst endings (and the worst plot twist) of any Final Fantasy, but absolutely not for the reason presented on the article. In what world is Seifer "one of the most bad ass Final Fantasy villains in existence"?
