“No Plans” to Stream PlayStation ‘Slim’ Event, “Don’t Anticipate Any Software Announcements”

This Thursday, PlayStation will be holding an event to show us exactly what they mean by “following the biggest launch in PlayStation history, join us for an introduction to the slimmest.”
- PSLS (PS Vita, PS3, PS4)

.........crap I was really hoping we'd get some big AAA software announcements but maybe we'll have to wait until E3. Perhaps they're just playing it down? Who knows....
TomShoe  +   234d ago
I can live with that, I just want some Vita slim goodness here in NA and UK.

"I was really hoping we'd get some big AAA software announcements but maybe we'll have to wait until E3. "

It is disappointing but there will be a few more chances for announcements before E3 I'm sure.

Crap is right.

I was hoping Sony would do similar what they did last year.

Maybe not as big but have a smaller event. An hour dedicated to game teases and reveals as well as future PS4 enhancements.

A Vita announcement is good for handheld fans nonetheless.

Sony has been pretty steady on announcements of late. I cant imagine they have many more that aren't already reserved for E3. But we can hope.

Didn't know this was even on the radar. Destination PlayStation in Feb should have some announcements

i think it will be the ps4 slim. I dont like the first model its too big and bulky. I also hope it will have at least a 1 TB hard drive.

So... it's for North America PS Vita Slim...

I just bought a PS Vita (OLED) over waiting for a PS Vita Slim (LED) --

Did I make the right choice???

Vita Slim is LCD and not LED I believe.
Very similar tech but there are differences.

If you want a little better battery life, weighs less and slimmer in size, then get the slim.

If color and picture quality is what you prefer, get the original OLED version. Although color and picture could be based on your preference as well. Some people like the more natural color reproduction of the LCD screen versus the OLED version.

Check out some Youtube videos of the comparisons to get a better idea of whether you made a sound choice. Good luck buddy!

Yes, LED was a typo - I meant LCD.

Those are basically the pro&cons.

I chose OLED because I don't play on-th-go really at all.

Starting to think this is Vita Tv and not Vita slim. If so I'm going to be disappointed. If Sony releases Vita TV here in the west before PS Now is availiable its going to bomb hard and n4g will be filled top to bottom with more vita doom articles wich will inevitably make even less people interested in it.

Its been 2 years, its time for vita slim to come west. Vita Tv, save that for fall/ holiday 2015 when more compatible games will be out and PS Now is up and running well.
