Assassins Creed 4 Black Flag | Saving Privateer Kenway - CelticGamer

When you’ve got something lying face down, apparently dead in the water then you’d be forgiven for abandoning whatever it is to it’s watery fate and focusing your time on more important things like what to have for dinner. This was the situation Assassin’s Creed 3 found itself after a rather brutal reception. In short, it was an abysmal addition to the franchise and a stellar example of innumerable missed opportunities. As such, faith in the franchise dwindled to an ember as Ezio fan-boys walked away from the drowning Connor Kenway, that was, until Black Flag sailed onto PS4 and went all CPR on Ubisoft’s annual series.

I was pretty let down after Assassins Creed 3. Safe to say Assassins Creed 4 even though I said I wasn't going to play it. Trying it out at a friends house turned me around again. Not on the story but the game-play was pretty fun. Also it is an impressive looking next gen title that i'm still going back to. Nice review.

It is a great game. Was skeptical myself when I heard it was being set in a pirate universe. Thought they were just looking to cash in, but the outcome was a great payoff.

I liked the pirate aspect a lot. I just finished it last night and...

**SPOILER ALERT**

When watching Kenway give the flower to his daughter off the boat with "The Parting Glass" playing in the background, I almost lost it.

There are moments that standout and that is defo one of my favourites. I look forward to a dedicated AC next Gen game that uses the new hardwares full potential. I like the parts with SPOILER!!! William Kid who turns out to be a women. Her death scene was overwhelming and sad.

Agreed, can't wait for the next installment.

After assasins creed one i felt like every other sequel was the same thing. Assasins creed black flag on the other hand feels much better. Love the pirate thing and sailing. Combat sadly feels the same but than again ive barely scratched the surface so maybe it gets better. Glad i gave it a chance. However i feel like if they make another assasins creed it has to have ships or it wont feel right now. Imo i think assasins creed can survive by going full pledged rpg. Its huge and open, just needs some form of leveling, grinding and skill tree.
