Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze game size is apparently 11.4 GB in size. The game also supports The Wii U Gamepad, Wii Mote and Nunchunk, and Wii U Pro Controller.
90% of that is Cranky Kong.
Haha!! He is a special personality...:P
Thats quite a lot.
That's gigantic for a Nintendo game. Especially a side scroller. SM3DW is like 1.7GB. The detail in this game must be massive. Retro have never been sloppy coders as far as I can tell.
Considering the fact with the Wii game they already had half the work done for them, its not like they started from scratch
People who have played the game said it's more diverse then Returns.
Code is never big. It's all assets.
In same category I would compare with NSMB U with 1.70 GB capacity. DKC Returns 3D had 2 GB at e-shop of Nintendo, so this will use 6 times more space, wow!!! For the history, I think this game will be the First Party Wii U game with the highest capacity so far. http://www.nintendonerds.co...
My favorite thing about my WiiU is playing games on the tablet over my big screen tv. Its just so nice I can watch tv and play full fledged console games. My ps4 does this as well with the Vita but its not as nice as the Gamepad. I wish Lego City would allow this.
How dare you say nice things about the Wii U
The WiiU has potential but as a Nintendo only comsole IMO. I buy them for pure nitnendo games I would not buy multiplat titles on the WiiU.
A big game. But I prefer to own the physical disk. I only download Indies and VC games that you can't get on a disk.
And I've seen people dismissing this game because it's a side-scrolling game, and saying that this game coudln't have taken too much time to make. I always found that kind of statement ridiculous, because there definitely are side scrolling platformers out there that have a lot of content and polish, in gameplay and graphics. If this report is true, then wow... just wow. Super Mario 3D World isn't even 2 GB in size.
