That's how you do DLC right, instead of everyone paying $20 for it, one person can buy it and share it with friends, or you can find 3 other people and all pay $5 and get to share it

Free maps and the ability to share co op with a friend...

Guerilla Games.....good guys, good guys.

I think if more devs were to start doing this it would encourage people to buy more games and the devs would make more money.

Didn't Payday do this already? Just sayin'.

guitarded771486d ago

Checked it out... Yes, Payday did this. I like how I got disagrees for stating a truth. My fans... they love me.

Wow.. That's really cool. Let's hope the rest of the industry takes note. We could use more companies like this.

Alexious1486d ago

Yes, Guerrilla is setting the standard for this stuff.

Ducky1486d ago (Edited 1486d ago )

... how would the three other people paying $5 lead to them all being able to share it?

Edit: I'm still not seeing how the remaining two people will get access to the maps. Seems like only the first two guys would have the DLC.

4 in total, $5 each, one gets it and they are able to share it. (actually I believe you can share the download with 1 other person, so 2 out of the 4 people get the full DLC and are able to share it between the 4 when they all play)

I've been waiting for info on the co-op to come out. Hopefully not too long before it comes out or it might get overshadowed by a few nice games coming out (Second Son for example).

BABY-JEDI1486d ago

He's obviously wearing those rose tinted Killzone glasses LoL

MasterCornholio1486d ago (Edited 1486d ago )

That is really neat.

What sucks is that developers who abuse DLC manage to sell more copies of their games than Guerilla.

I'm talking about COD.

P.S Also Killzone wasn't broken at launch like Battlefield 4 and COD Ghosts.

Daniel_Potter1486d ago

The first ever company to do this was Overkill
They made Payday 1 and 2
I think you PS players should know that, cause Payday 1 at the time was basically a PS alternative for L4D
They still keep using that strategy, along with that they also release free dlc from time to time
and do community events on holidays(Christmas, Helloween)

Spenok1486d ago

This is bloody brilliant! No longer do you have to play with randoms or force your friends to buy the DLC as well.

I wish more developers would follow these kinds of DLC ideas that Guerilla Games came up with. They have always had the right ideas for DLC. I just wish they could come up with a more compelling reason to care about the story lines. Oh well, at least they make a fun MP.

Alexious1486d ago

They have hired a good writer, let's hope for the new IP!

boskoz1486d ago

Very good indeed, hope this will serve as future example for everyone

sooo, who wants to share theirs with me :D

I'll be your friend :P

ipach1486d ago (Edited 1486d ago )

adding you now

ipach1486d ago

oh that's a nice touch

terminallyCapricious1486d ago

Ok cool. haha
For a second I though the co-op was free to and I was thinking "what was the purpose of me buying the season pass if everything is free?"
But thats an awesome way to let people share the dlc. Hope more devs do this.

Alexious1486d ago

I agree. I hope they take a cure from Guerrilla's page here
