PlayStation Now: Sony’s Plan For Multiplayer

By now, you’ve already heard about PlayStation Now, the new cloud-gaming service for PlayStation devices, Sony BRAVIA TVs and soon, non-Sony devices. It’s the service that will have everybody play PS3 and soon, PS1 and PS2 games and without the need to download or buy a copy. It’s the Netflix of gaming. Interesting to see how this works out, personally I've used the Gaiki streaming service before and it worked almost flawlessly playing crysis 2, that being said I did happen to have a better internet at the time ( u-verse, st.louis area) but with my internet having trouble loading a video in YouTube and the fact that there's no such thing as internet neutrality I can see some problems with the service, but I guess that's what you get for living in illionios, to those that do have good internet and hopefully an internet provider that doesn't data cap you or pull some bull crap about having to pay more for gaming/streaming using their internet.

All valid concerns. I would like to see them do a free trial so people can test and see how their connection handles it.

They are doing a beta at the end of the month and also stated that you'll need at least a 5 mb/s connection for best results. If you want to experiment with your connection (and have a Vita and PS4) leave your house and try some remote play... They're somewhat the same since it's mainly just uploading your button presses and streaming the video and audio.

Would be useful, but technically, they'll release the requirement then all you have to do is go to the Internet settings on the PS4 and see what speed your averaging. But a simple trial would be great.

I'd expect a months free trial to be bundled in with PSN+ when it launches.

That would be a great idea!
