Find out more about Respawn Entertainment’s FPS from the recent alpha.
A PC Beta would be cool! I want to try this game out for myself!
I'm desperate for a PC beta but I doubt it'll happen. I'm already sold based on friends impressions of the Alpha though.
Nothing more impressive than watching a Titan fall from space.
A very hot girl falling from space?
Watching people splat on a pavement isn't awesome. It's kinda grim.
@pandehz Maybe some people just get off on seeing humans being turned into pancakes. ...this got dark.
Of course she'd be hot. She'd burn up upon reentering earths atmosphere.
Oh no, over-sharpening and white lines... Crytek need to share their secrets. Personally I find jagged lines and visual artifacts far more distracting than a lower resolution or unlocked framerate.
I agree but we have to consider that this is an Alpha test and it is only running at 25% of the full games textures. http://www.gamespot.com/for... Hopefully they have gotten some really good data from the Alpha test and spend the next couple months polishing the game. I will be getting this game first thing. It looks like a blast.
You're absolutely right, and it is quite likely that AA and post processing are among the last things they will be tweaking. I'm also planning to get the game for PC myself because I just prefer a keyboard and mouse for any frenetic first person shooting :) I just hope the over-sharpening trend for One games is a temporary measure and wont be prevalent across the console's library.
"Personally I find jagged lines and visual artifacts far more distracting than a lower resolution " Not to nitpick but jagged edges are the result of low resolutions......The higher the res, the sharper the image. Hopefully they implement some good AA. "You're absolutely right, and it is quite likely that AA and post processing are among the last things they will be tweaking." Most likely.
The jaggies and other graphical problems will be gone (or at least 99% eliminated) by launch (XB1 & PC versions at least) considering how powerful next gen systems and PC's are and the game is running on an ancient engine. Just look at how Drive Club looks now compared to a few months ago. But since Titanfall is running on the old Source engine, don't expect it to look like Crysis. It won't win any graphical awards, but like everyone (who's played it) has been saying, it's a gameplay over graphics experience.
"The jaggies and other graphical problems will be gone (or at least 99% eliminated) by launch (XB1 & PC versions at least)" Bearing in mind im talking about resolution, not how the game looks overall graphically. But if it's final resolution is 720p...then it will be jaggy. 720p is always going to have more aliasing than 900p or 1080p....that's just the way it is. They could implement some decent AA like Ryse has, but a higher native res is the much better way to get rid of jaggies. " has been saying, it's a gameplay over graphics experience." Definitely, im not bashing the game here, im just saying that 720p is always going to be "jaggier" than higher resolutions.....in any game. The dude in the article even says himself that this game could really do with being at least 900p because objects at a distance look jaggy and messy. Like you said, the engine is ancient and the X1 is more than powerful enough, so i see no reason why this game couldn't run at 900p @ 60fps, it would help visibility a lot, especially with larger 1080p native TV's.
Agreed... I wasn't going after your points, I was just throwing in some of my thoughts.
I want information according to the PC release of Titanfall.
are the AI bots optional?
Ai its opcional, titanfall in final version have playlist with bots, and not bots, depend of playlist-. and going have small maps, and medium maps, in alpha beta its only 2 big maps, not small maps
oh good, i wonder why they added bots, people dont want to play online against bots, right?
Keep in mind that this is still just the Alpha. The final product will no doubt be impressive. The prioritization of AI count over player count kind of bugs me, but overall I like the concept. This is pretty much the only game that makes me want to get a Xbox One.
Standby for TitanFall!
I'm on standby for Halo 5, so I won't see this game until September/November 9th/11th/19th/21st. :(
I wished we'd stop hearing more from the alpha and instead have Respawn be a little more open about the game and actually showcase it properly instead of making us look at Alpha videos that being honest, weren't even supposed to be released.
Everyone's talking about their game, right? And as a wise soldier from an awesome cartoon used to say, "Knowing is half the battle". That quote may be out of context, but I love a good GI Joe quote every now and then :-) I think it's smart of them to have drummed up these types of conversations while getting in some stress testing a few months from release and I expect them to do it again with a public beta in the weeks leading up to March 11th.
"It’s been pointed that as far as humans go, 6 vs. 6 is a little empty" ...and just like that this article fails. I haven't heard one person from the Beta say the game felt empty or that it was suffering from being 6v6. But I would expect nothing different from the author and site.
Hang on, serious question. Did he say there are only 2 maps? Is that confirmed, or just what was available on alpha? Because a lot of the other stuff hasn't deterred me, but only 2 maps might... I mean, I definitely want to try the game out and give it a fair shot, but 2 maps without level destruction? No one from alpha complained about these things, I'm just thinking about replay ability and 3 months after purchase don't and I don't want a ton of DLC for more money right away.. .
You would hope Titanfall does Gears of War numbers. No way it does COD because that is a multiplatform game. I doubt it touches Halo.
I do agree I just hope the game is good game to play
I agree, I think gears numbers is the target for this title, however; with the correct exposure the next title could be attempting to be the number 1 series for xbox. That is if it stays exclusive.
