Forward, backward, up, down. Attack, Jump, Duck. Duck and Attack is a leg sweep. Jump and Attack is a dive kick. Up and Attack throws your sword. Standing still? Up and down changes sword height. Kill or run to get eaten and win.

Technically, you now know how to play developer Messhof’s long-awaited indie fighter Nidhogg. But realistically, there’s a little more to it than that.
