More Announcements To Come After PS4 Launch Says Sony Japan

While most of the world is already enjoying Sony’s next-gen console, Japan still has over a month in waiting for their turn. Sony Computer Entertainment Japan Asia president Hiroshi Kawano gives gamers a little insight on the subject and more during a recent interview. (Hiroshi Kawano, PS4, Sony)

I am hoping they announce a program that aggressively gets Japanese games to come to the West. I believe they have something like that right now in place for 3rd party Japanese developers, but more news on that would be great.

its the 3rd party production team and its situated in the US. Currently working on Borderlands 2, but are said to have at least 2 JPN titles they are bringing over.

since they promised that PSone will be all over again i'm really only looking forward to Japanese announcements cause western games are really starting to lack variety.
color me excited but i hope they soon show at least ONE big game on PS4 to look forward to from Japan Studio cause there is nothing so far..

Uncharted is good, TLoU is good, Killzone is good but none of them can match the depth of a Legend of Dragoon for example.

I had wished for that on the PS3, and still wish for it. The japanese companies seem to think that they need to translate every little thing for the west to accept it when that just isn't the case.
People buy anime games like Dragon Ball Z, and Naruto games without caring about a language barrier.
The same can be said about smaller games, we just want more, and just let the translations be patchable, or even user generated, like a user Wiki of translations in games.

Crap, I could sell this couldn't I?
GutZ31  +   431d ago
I just realised, with the idea of user generated translations, you could have infinite story tellings of the same game!

Don't care what they are, just localise them lol.

Yeah we need us some JRPG's to really accentuate the PS4 as the true gamer's console.
