PS4 dominating Europe.

Next up: Japan!

This is a pattern the world over.

USA is the only place where sales are pretty even between the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. But everywhere else the PlayStation 4 has a big lead.

PS4 US Sales: 2,110,633

Xbox One US Sales: 1,944,688

Japan will be hard to overtake Wii U even for PS4, I think !

Why ?

PS4 will be out when Wii U will be at 1,6-1,7M in Japan
I predict at least 500k first week, but it will go down after that

While in North America and Europe, there is a lot of more people and it was during holidays with Christmas (and home console are still strong there, not in Japan), so PS4 sold quickly and a lot !

Should be easy pickings since PS3 largest month in japan outside of launch window is over 200,000 while Wii U out of launch window is over 100,000. PS4 has done better in every territory life-to-date compared to PS3, so just going by the pattern the PS4 will win easily.

The only place where X1 is close to PS4 is in places where PS4 is sold out (well, that's pretty much everywhere).

The X1 and PS4 are close in North America (although PS4 is still ahead) because X1 has supply, but I don't think it's too bold of a prediction to say that as NA gets more PS4's in, the gap will widen. $100 price difference and 8 straight months of bad PR isn't something you simply shrug off, no matter what Microsoft would like you to believe.

while i have ps4 and i think its easily the best of the bunch,i hope xbox one is succesful as it will make sony constantly up there game

BitbyDeath1347d ago

I hope Xbox isn't successful so that way MS will be forced to sell it to someone who cares about gaming

ramiuk11347d ago

haha gotta agree with you in a way dude.
in my honest opinion i think MS is going the wrong way.
its going more entertainment than gaming imo,
in US it might be better where most of apps and features work but in europe it has half the amount that works.
only fanboys will defend the xbone to the point they sound stupid.

i had no intentions of geting a ps4,ibeen xbox since first one they ever made on day 1 but they have slowly gone from gaming to media imo.

1-GAMING
2-MEDIA(BLURAY)
3-APPS/SOCIAL

i have tivo, most people have sky/cable so TV is pointless.
if i could plug my cable wire into back then awesome, but not pay for 2 devices to be on.
