GamingBolt recently had a chance to speak Capcom Japan producer James Vance, who is working on the upcoming reboot for Strider, and asked about the action platformer's resolution for next-gen consoles
Strider IS A MUST HAVE GAME ITS THE NEXT METROID GAME ON THE XBOX ONE
You're being Sarcastic, right? @malokevi "Games don't run at 1080p on Xbox One. Fact." We've seen Strider trailers, the game isn't demanding for it NOT to run in 1080p on XboxOne. On the other hand,Ryse,Battlefield,Call of Duty,Dead Rising didn't run at 1080p,which IS a "fact". If games like Quantum Break achieve 1080p @30fps THEN color me amazed and this whole "XboxOne can't do 1080p" fiasco would be called false.
they say it is 1080p and 60fps thats what they said lots of games are 1080p that are coming out for xbox one
Should hope so too lol.
It has a good chance that xbone is using cloud assist obvious, 720p decrease, or hopefully it's true
"While the PS4 version is confirmed to run at 1080p resolution and 60 FPS, Vance confirmed that this is the case for the Xbox One version as well. “Both the PS4 and Xbox One versions run a native 1080p resolution and 60 FPS"
Nice to see devs are getting more comfortable with the Xbox Ones architecture.
It is good.. but devs need to also clarify if its native or upscaled on either console as there is a big difference between the two
It's not a very graphically-intensive game. I would hope the XB1 could push this out at that resolution. Otherwise, yikes.
You have to remember, its not the hardware that's causing some games to not run in 1080p/60 native. Its the configuration of the hardware, which is requiring some extra work for Devs. A computer with the same specs as the Xbox One CAN run all the Multi plat games in native 1080/60.
"It's not a very graphically-intensive game. I would hope the XB1 could push this out at that resolution"
This has been the standard response for every game announced at 1080p on the Xbox One. Way too much focus has been on native resolution so far this gen. Resolution shouldn't be the deciding factor on what makes a game next gen.
@ death I agree completely.
Most games announced so far have been running same res and fps. Cdprojekt, avalanche, crytek,ea, ubisoft and a couple of others have said in the past that it would get better as devs familiarised themselves with the new hardware. I think most of them are doing better now. I also expect the next cod and battlefield to be full 1080p/60fps on both consoles.
Here we go. If a game is running 1080p on XB1, it must be a crappy looking game that doesn't really push the hardware in a casio calculator. Typical fanboy comments!
You hammered that nail on the head!
This game certainly is far from crappy looking. But it certainly looks like it doesn't push the limits of the hardware.
Just being honest. Just because it's a fanboy comment doesn't mean it isn't true.
I really hope they don't mess this up. The original Strider was one of those "holy sh*t that's awesome" type games when it came out.
I grew up not being able to buy many games, so was left with renting as an alternative. That being said, Strider became, and still is a contender for, one of the most expensive game rentals due to it's difficulty and awesomeness. I really hope they can recapture that for those of us that got to experience the original.
almost every game run at 1080p. So instead of giving us those news give us some new release news on techland dying light or Watch dogs. Watch dogs news is dead right now ?!
hope it lives up to the first two, absolutely love those games
If its digital only I'm gonna wait. I don't do digital.
Better reconsider man, the future is clearly pointing to DD.
Getting it on PS4 of course. Hope the game turns out to be good.
Isn't this an arcade/psn title? And isn't it also a 2d side scroller? Lmao you guys crack me up. It better run 1080p 60 fps even on the ps3/360.
Isn't Resogun a side scroller with 2d/3d elements? Shouldn't it run at 1080/60fps on the PS2?
Did I say Anything about ps2? There isn't even an hdmi out on ps2. I'm sure ps3 could handle this at 1080 and 60 fps as well as resogun. You guys are getting excited over something that should be standard and come with ease with these types of games.
