FaceFX SDK Adds Multi-Threading, Reduced Memory Fragmentation, Performance Gains for PS4 & Xbox One

It really makes me glad when developers work to make their programming more efficient. In the long run the will be able to use that extra space to put in more content to us gamers.

Developers are lazy if they instantly use too much RAM-space than needed (like DICE and Infinity Ward did with their recent games). They should instead work to use as little RAM as possible and re-work their coding (and thinking for that matter). Look just how Naughty Dog succeded in their working progress ... from Uncharted: Drake's Fortune to The Last of Us. HUGE difference between 2007 and 2013 and also a perfect example of the art known as: "How to untap power in a piece of hardware".

Guerilla Games has also posted a document on how they tried to make use of the PS4 when making KZ:SF-demo. They are probably right now on next project and how to make their tools more efficient. You're welcome:

I think you are confusing being rushed with being lazy. Naughty dog only has to develop for one system at a time and they have the luxury of longer development time. Comments like yours make me sick as a developer myself... people are so ungrateful.
I also don't see the huge differences between uncharted and last of us, textures and character models got better in uncharted 2 and after that there really wasn't much improvement in naughty dogs games graphically. Great games, but lets be honest with ourselves.

No, a great deal of developers were down right lazy compared to the golden age of gaming. It's nice that the PS4 and Xbone are easier to develop for, the lazy developers now have training wheels/a crutch they can lean on now. But on a whole it's not good for gaming, because this laziness breeds mediocrity.

Yes, lazy. But still rushed. No game company in the world can deliver a quality game every 1-2 years (except for Naughty Dog). Other developers simply need 3 years time but they think way too much about the money. Just look at GTA. They release that game every 4-5 years and it's a HUGE success. I'm pretty sure that many developers and gamers would have more fun time out there if people weren't so obsessed with money and frequent "meh-game" releases.
