MP1st - Is Call of Duty: Ghosts' Ignition DLC map inspired by Modern Warfare 2's Scrapyard?
Good COD idea
Ha memories.... I loved this map.
Lol yep, shooting a grenade launcher at the very start of the match over the entire map and blowing up the white van killing most of the enemy team was hilarious.
I also did that in Search and Destroys at Sub-base. (I think that's the name, Correct me if I'm wrong) Hilarious indeed. xD
Can't stand this map.
Yeah, one team camps the bunker at the bottom of the hill, and the other camps the cave, while a few lone wolfs walk around the circular map. I wasn't really a fan of it wither. I'd be more interested in CoD4MW maps.
@guitarded The map you are talking about is not this map
They really don't know what to do with the game at this point...
I guess that they officially have gone out of ideas. First basically copying MW2 ending scene into one of the missions then that wolf skin DLC and now this. I simply cannot believe that people are still buying this game after being ripped of soo much and seeing same stuff for last 6 years now.
But still selling like crazy , filling their corporate asses with money. They don't care about us that think its wrong.
Most of Black Ops 2 season pass maps were rehashed and touched up old maps from previous COD. That was it for me. Besides the increasing suck factor of the game.
Yeah they do. Rinse. Reuse. The endings from COD4 up to Blops 2 (Didn't beat Ghosts) are exactly the same. StrikeZone is Dome backwards. Blatant rehash or stealth laziness, it's bullshit.....for $120 a year
I find the Strikezone article and comments funny, as literally, the two maps are NOTHING alike, except for a very generic footprint layout. You might as well say that two maps that share a rectangular layout are identical...
It's not about that. It's about how much of a ripoff this game is and how each year the gamers find new "What the Fucks" with it, like this. At least they hid it on people this year instead of blatantly doing it like Black Ops 2 with Studio, Nuketown and that other map.
Why would you want to model a map on possibly the worst map from MW2? Fucking wet heads at infinity ward have no clue.
It's called quick cash grab. All GREEDY companies otherwise known as Capcom,Activision,EA,Infinity Ward do not give a simple damn at what content they serve us as long as it gives them $$$.
MW2 >>>>>>>&g t;>>>>>>> Ghosts
MW2> Dog Poo > Ghosts
they've been rehashing since 2007
I'm sure when they were 'showing off' this game at conferences they were showing off 'dynamic maps' where is this in the games? All I've seen is a tree fall over and a sign on a gas station fall off. I don't even count 'freefall' as it's possibly the worst map I've ever played on COD.
There are other smaller ones. For example on the snow map with the trains you can close doors so you cant get flanked. You are right they are not super dynamic aside from a K.E.M strike. Nothing shifts gameplay in any meaningful way
Omg mw2 my favorite cod game. I still play it sometimes but it will never be like when me and my friends played way back when it came out. Running around getting massive kills with double Uzi on scrapyard so good
Oh, it's "inspired" by scrapyard. Ok, wink wink.
You guys are out of control. Some nerd looks at a blurry picture of a new map and spots a very small resemblance to a map that came out like 6 years ago, and all the trolls come out to play and denounce COD as usual. Even if it is a remade map, nobody is forcing you to buy DLC, so shut the hell up with the whining.
Sorry Vince we didnt mean to hurt your feelings, tell us again about how with out the Cloud you cant have 6 vs 6 in Titanfall.
What are you talking about? The Cloud powers the 24 AI opponents + 12 titans in Titanfall, and has nothing to do with the players themselves.
inspired by or copy pasted from?
Lol at the use of the word 'inspired'. Since the excellent MW game, and with mild exception to MW2, most of the COD games have shared too many similarities. The BF series has become lame and far removed from it's PC roots. The Streetfighter/Resident Evil series has become lazy or cheap cash-ins. Now I'm not against COD or the other aforementioned games per say, but I am against this notion by Activision, EA, Capcom for example, that 'if we build it, they (us) will buy it'. There's no other argument other than 'lazy' & 'cash-in' to be made here. Gamer's can only initiate change from their wallets.
Inspired by your own work? Sounds weird, but I guess it can happen. Or they used that word to avoid the possibility of being found out that their maps resemble their previous map. Without this statement it would be seen more like copying their own work (same devs).
Hmmmm more like hey if we just take a map from from all the other 15 COD games we crapped out and tweak it, call it " Inspired by " then sell it as new, we dont have make one from scratch ! Laziest bunch of Devs in the business confirmed.
Every Map in BO2, had one RE-skin DLC from BO1. pathetic.
Now all the 12 years old's can play this re-skinned Scrapyard map with increased Lag Compensation! Yeah!
