TheGamingLiberty.com: "2004 was an absolutely incredible year for gaming. It’s really difficult to believe that the following 25 games will turn 10 years old this year. Where did the years go?"
That is a fantastic list! Oh the memories. Can't believe it's been 10 years since HL2 and MGS3. 2004 was a good year.
Feels like it's been longer since Star Wars Battlefront came out. I miss that franchise more than any other. Ready for DICE to show what they got.
That No.21 its been too long... omg wait a minute 2+1=3 *brain processing all possible options only one is viable* HALF-LIFE 3 confirmed !!!
Killzone...I remember having to get it soooo bad!
How cool would it be if Valve announced HL3 on HL2's tenth birthday? I wouldn't mind the wait!
Wow these were all from 2004? I never would have guessed it... I'm getting old...
Yep I I owned most if those games too. Can't believe how fast time has gone by.
I cannot believe Resident Evil 4 is 10 years old. Jesus H Christ!
Or "25 Best Games that Released in 2004"
2004 was one fantastic year for gaming.
Holy hell have the last 10 years flown bye. So much s*** has happen since then and yet it seems like last week.
MGS3 such an outstanding game it still looks pretty damm good same can be said with other games from that list.
Kinda funny that 10 years after the original Far Cry was released for PC now in 2014 the same game will be finaly released for a sony platform. As a Far Cry fan and Sony fan i couldnt be any happier.
Onimusha 3!!!! Dat intro.
pure art and so was Onimusha 2's
Surely one of the best years for gaming.
Karmari is ten? Your kidding me. I'm thinking of the effects in Knack and thinking imagine that on ps4.
2004 was THE year of sequels in terms of numbers. A lot of games that started off towards the start of that generation got their first sequel that year, plus Half Life 2 was long awaited. However the year before it , 2003, was arguably the more interesting in terms of new series plus the sequels, though fewer in numbers, were sometimes very long awaited ones. Plus Half LIfe 2 was originally going to come out this year.: Outrun 2, Beyond Good and Evil. Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. 1080 Avalanche. The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker (outside of Japan). Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg (I've never played that), Silent Hill 3 (yet part 4 The Room still managed to come out in time for the year of sequels 2004, possibly slightly helped because it didn't start out as a Silent Hill game). And might as well as look at the next year, the first of the Xbox360's and still containing some big games for the previous generation: 2005: Resident Evil 4, Haunting Ground , Devil May Cry 3, Donkey Kong : Jungle Beat, F.E.A.R, Quake 4, Perfect Dark Zero, Kameo: Elements of Power.
It was also a fantastic year for tv shows, Lost, Deadwood, Battlestar Galactica and House all started in 2004. Ahh the memories.
I don't think enough people realize just how important Half Life 2 was. Without it, we wouldn't have the AI, graphics, in-game story telling, in-game physics etc. Half Life 2 was an industry changing moment, just like CoD adding perks. All other games have built off it.
