Court upholds findings in $9.2M Epic Games, Silicon Knights lawsuit

Polygon :

"Epic Games is entitled to the $9.2 million from Silicon Knights awarded to them in connection with a civil suit kicked off by Denis Dyack's Canadian studio more than half a decade ago, according to a recent ruling by the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit."

The story is too old to be commented.

Good Epic for winning that lawsuit really quick

Half a decade ago isn't really quick.

Given most of SK employees left the company including Denis himself, who will end up paying this 9.2mil?

I honestly doubt Epic will get this much money from a studio that hasn't made a game in a long time. It would be like suing a poor person and expecting to get $100,000 out of them.

Not a big fan of SK, but Epic kinda comes off as bullies here. Epic already forced SK to destroy all it's games and IP's and now they want 9 million from a broken company.

This is truly a shame as such issues can really destroy a game studio.

One must be very careful these days
