Mass Effect 4: The Direction That Bioware Needs To Take

GB: "Bioware has a lot to learn yet and simply put, they only need look around a bit. One of the most important reasons for the success of the Mass Effect series was its characters, a number of which had been with Shepard through thick and thin and it'll be justice undone if Bioware deprives Mass Effect followers of embarking on a new journey minus all the characters they have always come to associate with the series." (Mass Effect 4, PC, PS4, Xbox One)

Bringing back planet exploration will be a step in the right direction making all the planets you explore completely different and unique.Make it more a RPG like ME1 combined with ME3 combat I will be a happy gamer.

Would love ME1 exploration, with ME2 conversations and ME3 combat. Also would like to be able to explore and complete missions after main story is over like ME2....

Scale down from galaxy-sized threats. Focus on one sector or a group of systems.

1. Get a good writing team.

2. If trilogy, write the entire thing before the first game is released.

3. Keep said writing staff until the final game is finished.

4. don't try to be edgy with source material that is anything but. Keep it simple to avoid plot holes.

Everything else is secondary. Story is the most important thing with ME and as long as the gameplay fits, its job will be done.

The problem with that is that you'd have to script the plot and design game mechanics the for all three games before actually producing them.

Besides, as I've always pointed out, this is the same team which did the shuttle /Normandy attacked scenes in ME2.
