I have it and it is awesome!! I'm learning Weezer - Say it ain't so, right now. It works really well by slowly adding in notes as you learn more. Very Fun way to learn guitar.

does it really help with playing other things or can you only play what you lean in the game with any kind o confidence

Well I have zero guitar expeience. Since getting the game i can play the intro and most of the chorus to Say It Ain't so w/out the game. There are chord games and technique games so I say with enough time it should be able to help you "Play the guitar"

Hey guys, thanks for the comments and reading John's article. My question to someone who already knows the guitar: Will it help your technique and understanding of music theory? I (Jason) have played the guitar off and on for 15 years now. I learned songs the old fashioned way by listening to it over and over and reading tabs. I'd love to learn theory and be able to put thing together on the fly. Does Rocksmith do that in any way?
