The Furious Fourcast crew of Jen, Robert, Max and Scott have plenty to talk about this week between a viewer question that leads to the Titanfall brouhaha, PS4 versus Xbox One sales numbers, Playstation Now, Steam Machines and Alien: Isolation!
- the Max Parker guy gets the problem, competitive MP FPS gamers don't want AI bots. - a good point by Scott Grill, EA should do a beta to let players try the game out to address their concerns before spending $60. - Robert Workman is the designate defensive fanboy, the optimal game is on the PC not the XBone dude.
I agree, a beta would do the company some justice before thinking what is best for the consumer when they obviously express the distaste for AI (BOTS) and 6v6 count... If the demo was 7v7 have them try that first or even 12v12 then decide based on the consumer. Im sic of companies feelings as though they know what is best for the consumer.
That's the thing though, we are only two months from release. Respawn has been developing the game and the maps with 6v6 in mind "for months." So, a beta or demo would be more to prove whether or not 6v6 with up to 36 AI bots is fun at this point. Any increase in player count would probably come via DLC at this point.
