With Metal Gear Solid V being developed for multiple platforms, Kojima now has to adjust the game for each different controller.
Picking this one up on my PS4!!! Can't wait! This is also why I like Kojima. He tries to make everyone happy and keep them in mind. You don't have a speaker on your controller? He'll think of something for you. Those who DO have the speaker, he is making use of that feature :) To me Kojima is an excellent developer!
I'm getting the PS4 version as well, looking forward to it.
I really do like the speaker in the DualShock 4. It's not a massive game-changer but what I appreciate is that when I'm playing a game with sound blasting from my TV and then I hear sound effects or speech coming from the controller. It's a subtle effect but it adds to the immersion.
i was playing resogun and was like,, NICE!
Yeah i like it too, it's very clear, much clearer than i thought it was going to be. I was expecting something like the Wiimote, all tinny and cheap sounding. When you pick up an audio log on Killzone SF it sounds really good. The sound of an audio log coming from your hands is a nice touch.
same as. I always liked how they has the speaker in the wii mote.
@Lukas Killzone made good use of the new controller features. The touchpad is so intuitive. I've been playing Assassin's Creed 2 & 3 so I can get caught up to play 4. While I was playing 2, I kept unconsciously swiping my thumb up on the touch pad in an attempt to select the assassin's blade.
I always catches me off guard though! I sometimes don't play my PS4 as much as I should and when I do, I forget the speaker is there. I look down in confusion every freaking time! lol it just means I need to play it more.
I love to see this coming to Pc😪
"With Metal Gear Solid V being developed for multiple platforms, Kojima now has to adjust the game for each different controller." No Really..... !?!?!?!?!?
PS4 version day 1.
This is something that every developer has to do, kojima is not special for doing this very common practice. -_-
It's not something that every developer has to do. It's not just getting the game to function using each controller. History has shown that Kojima is the type of dev that really tries to get the most out of hardware. He's trying to get the most out of each controller depending on its capabilities. Some devs wouldn't even bother finding creative ways to employ the controller if they only had one system to work on.
No they don't. There are multiple devs out there that have the same controls for multiplat games. I have a 360 and PS3/4 and some games, the controller layout is the same across the board.
I'm really into MGS news, but are you going to report here every ordinary tweet Kojima makes about MGSV?
If I think it has news value, but sometimes it's something minor, I agree. But sometimes it's hard to predict what people will find interesting enough, or what they don't. So yeah, I try to report things that I feel have at least some news value, and here he said something concrete about how he is developing the game, although it is something small of course.
It beats some of the other crap people post on here. At least it's not some random flamebait!
Imagine what he could have done with the Wii-U Gamepad if he had given the system a chance !!
