Drakengard Director Can’t Use Kickstarter for Drakengard 4 on PS4; Might Make a Spin-off One Day

After mentioning that he’d like to make Drakengard 4 on PS4, but he’s unable to because he lacks the funds for development, Drakengard 3 Director Taro Yoko received a large number of messages expressing support and enthusiasm, many of which suggesting the use of Kickstarter.

He explained why Kickstarter is not an option, but he does plan to make something new this year, also mentioning that a spin-off might be on the menu, if he gets the chance. (Drakengard 3, PS Vita, PS4, Yoko Taro)

Kickstarter has mostly just taken off in the West, right?

The biggest Kickstarter games are Torment, Project ETernity, Mighty no. 9, Double Fine Adventure, Wasteland 2, Homestuck, Planetary Annihilation, Star Citizen, Shroud of the Avatar, Shadowrun Returns, Warhammer Tactics, Dreamfall Chapters, Double Fine Massive Chalic, Project Phoenix, Divinity Original Sin, GODUS, Shantae, etc.

Of those, only Mighty No. 9 and Project Phoenix are Japanese, unless one or some of the MMOs are, too.
