Exactly How Rockstar Are Fixing The Infinite Money Issue in GTA 5 Causes Confusion

Rockstar Games has recently announced that the developer’s team will soon release a new GTA 5 patch to fix the infinite money issue in the multiplayer online mode of the game.

they need to cut the bs and just bring heists and DLC. even if they did do something about the money everyone already has everything including tanks and attack choppers. It's too late, just give the content you promised months ago when the broken game came out.

I'll be disappointed when the money I randomly received goes away. I really enjoyed having 100 million dollars. Hopefully they don't take my nice cars I bought the money with, that way I can sell them.

I agree. That's why I think it's STUPID they disabled the option to give money to players for people who were not modders. I wanted to give a few million to all my friends because I know I will never run out of money.

I would make my friends cars had to be normal cars and I would upgrade them to the max and they were able to sell the for 100,000 each but only like every hour but it was better than nothing. I havent played since i got my ps4 my live gold ran out and im not about to renew just to play a broken game.

Freedom? Same missions. Kill a at point a then bring vehicle to point b then maybe kill b at point b tends to be their main setup for missionsn

Houses look the same with no option to change their look.

Since when was playing with randoms repetitive? Every lobby's different. One would have the aero-fanatics, another with car-enthusiasts, the occasional afks. How is playing online repetitve?

If you were going to call any game repetitive, I'd say it would have to be shooters and racing games. It's always 'shoot them to win' or 'race around the track multiple times'.

No they are not. Just usually people yelling at each other for their cars blowing up or one big shooting spree. Not much of a difference.

Well first of all, you can't shoot or fly helicopters in racing games. So racing games are definitely more repetitive. Shooting games don't give you the choice of just roaming around doing your own thing or, flying, sailing, racing.

If you say people in gta online are 'usually' blowing up cars/ shooting spree, may I add that in shooters, everyone is 'always' shooting each other. In racing games everyone's 'always' driving in circles. Still, my point stands.

By the way, what do you have against GTA? cause it seems like you got banned by them and so now you hate them.

not only that but the rewards for most of those missions suck. I would sometimes LOSE money when doing a mission restocking for a mission only to get a $2000 payout. thankfully there are the lester missions but the rest need a rebalancing.

I'm having a blast online actually.

I was in an attack chopper the other day and I fired a rocket at someone and it gave me $99 million for a bounty. I didn't mean to have that happen but I sure as hell am having a blast spending the money.

I have a crew of real friends that usually get into our private lobby in between missions so the hackers are never really a problem. I am really wondering if they'll take all my money or if they'll take all my cars and my apartment too. I've spent about 15 million just messing around. Calling in mercs, blowing up peoples cars accidently, calling in a heli pickup and shooting the pilot etc etc. I LOVE IT! I called in an airstrike to blow up my own car! That's what GTA is all about damnit! The random violent world is being held back by this money system though. We should all be able to do things for free, we paid for the game with real money didn't we?

The hackers need to go, as they need to everywhere. The guys giving out money for people to do stuff in game doesn't bother me one bit!

Then again....says the guy with 10 hooked up cars and a nasty apartment. Hahaha

I received one billion dollars and banked it. I have about 400,000 in my pocket from legit earnings. I'll be pissed if they touch the cash in my pocket. It's a shame they're just now getting serious about the game after letting hackers go nuts for months.

This reminds me of how horrible the 'Noob Experience' was, I didn't have the money to get the Special Edition which included a 'free garage' at the time. If Rockstar didn't make the "housewarming" so obtuse this hacking bullshit wouldn't happen.

Heists are another realm entirely, it'll become quickly pointless if we can't have NPC henchmen...

Glad to here it. But am worried they will screw the game up even more. I got $200mil simply by killing someone I thought I would only get a few grand instead I got $200 mil. Not my fault. First thing I did was buy my self a helicopter and a expensive car the 007 one.

I then thought what if this is a cheat? Looked online and it I see it is the work of script kiddies. I have not been on GTA since not until they fix this. But am worried now that RockStar will take all my cars off me. I earn my other cars by playing GTA online pretty much exclusively from October to November (when PS4 came out).

So am fine with taking th $200 mil away and the plane and the 007 car. But as long as the don't take my other cars away then fine. But I feel there just going to wipe my garage out.

Also what about apartment. I bought the most expensive apartment available using the 500k they gave us. I then downgraded to another apartment while I had the 200mil so ill be pissed if they take that off me.

I honestly don't even think that Rockstar should penalize players by removing the GTA$ that they were gifted through the hacked bounties. It's difficult enough as it is to earn the exorbitant amounts of money needed to purchase items in GTA Online to make the experience worthwhile. While microtransactions are available, allowing you to purchase in-game money, it's just foolish. Gamers shouldn't have to use their own real money to purchase digital funds when they've already paid between $60 and $150 for the game itself.

Rockstar needs to include heists as their inclusion is long overdue.

If Rockstar is going to fix anything, it ought to be the players who've somehow managed to get themselves to level 900 in only a few months. Unless I'm missing something, that's a rather bright red flag right there.

However, if Rockstar does finalize their decision to remove the gifted funds from players' banks, I hope they don't touch the items purchased with the funds, because I find it quite difficult to imagine them being able to determine what was purchased with gifted funds and what was purchased with funds earned.

This is what is worrying me. I had a few cars before this money issue happened. I also had a expensive apartment. I have used about 2 million out of the $200 mill I got. I don't mind them removing the car and stuff I bought with that. As long as they don't take my other cars I all ready had away.

I have no idea how there going to sort this out. You aether wipe everyone character (not rank)so everyone starts out with a clean slate and give everyone $2million in there bank. Which am pretty sure a lot of people will angry about including my self.

Simply remove the money from peoples accounts who received it by accident. If they have spent that money on cars let them keep them. This will make a few people angry most likely the people who didn't get a lot of money accidentally.

No way will rockstar let people keep the money. Simply because they want people to buy in game cash cards for real money. Yes this is simply how publishers/developers work these days.

They can fix it so people can't give out millions but I'm not 100% sure they can go through every single player and remove what was given or remove any properties or cars that have already been bought and paid for short of resetting the whole damn online game. Now if they did do that they would have a shitstorm on their hands. I'm guessing they will have no choice but leave players with what they have.
