Watch Dogs Rated Mature by the ESRB for Intense Violence, Partial Nudity and Much More

While we’re still waiting for Ubisoft to slap a new release date on Watch Dogs, the ESRB has rated the title on all systems, giving it an M for Mature and citing blood, drug reference, intense violence, partial nudity, sexual themes, strong language, and use of alcohol as the content descriptors. - PSLS

We already saw one in one of the trailers. Well, kind of, you just saw a guy eating food off a naked woman :/

How is march stupid ? And in not the one who came up with the release date but the only other ps4 game that comes out that month is infamous and possibly Driveclub.

Why the hell would you prefer April sooner these games come out the better so I can play em.

Infamous isn't enough? But you forgot MGS.

And I don't know about you but, I like to stick to one open world game at a time. And for me come March, that game will be Infamous.

In Australia the game got a 15+ for themes (not sexual specifically) and violence... I wonder why there is such a discrepency.

Also I doubt there will be strip clubs because what ive noticed about ESRB and rating systems in general is that partial nduity includes girls wearing like bikinis or suggestive clothes. Also when it says sexual references it could be just a joke a character makes like "oh i just got so hard". Use of alcholol shouldnt even by written on the box if its intended for people 17+ there nearly old enough to drink i think they can see it in a friking video game. also strong language, intense, violence, blood, drug those were all expected, everything was expected but they make it sound way worse when its proabbly equal to a pg-13 movie.

Wierd thing is it got 18+ in new zealand, europe and japan so maybe there is hookers, nudity, whatever honsetly we were all expecing this game to be rated M and have some deal of violence, sex, etc,

I'm glad that games are getting *MATURE* ;)

Rhezin1002d ago

@ quickset. No it's overcrowded with games in March and probably would get overshadowed.

Confirmed for March 2014:
Dark Souls 2
Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls
Titanfall
Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z
InFamous: Second Son
South Park: The Stick of Truth
Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes

Plenty to play! Better to spread out the game releases. Save some room for summer, because it's notorious for being pretty dry for video games.

Agent_00_Revan1002d ago

Yea, if it doesn't hit by February I probably won't end up getting it for a while. As much as I wanted it at launch, and as disappointed as I was for its delay, I'm definitely getting Infamous, South Park, and probably MGS, all on release day.

I'm glad the games content wasn't dumbed down to grab a wider audience. It's always nice when a game envelops mature themes, like movies, to bring a more realistic and gritty atmosphere. Especially for a game like this.

This is my most anticipated game. The reason why I jumped into next gen gaming. I can't wait for it.

NukaCola1002d ago

I love the lack of linearity in this. You have so many options and choices in how you handle what you are doing. Feels like a real nextgen open world game.

Beastforlifenoob1001d ago

I agree I prefer games which actually effect you a little like actually shock you. Also since its open world theve got to include drugs, sex, etc its supposed to be a semi-accurate depiction of a real life criminal.

Also the content desriptor sounds abit like my average friday night.
