Some games will never see the light of day outside of Japan, and that's just the nature of the beast. With a system like DS that's so diverse, and so widespread across every region of the world, people are bound to find odd little gems that never come to fruition, or just don't have the legs to make it to every gamer out there for one reason or another. Some have licensing issues like the Jump Stars series, while others are just too obscure to ever get a chance in a market that's more focused on huge budgets, sequel runs, and licensed software.
Nevertheless, IGN have found some hidden greats, and they deserve better, which is why they are featuring them in one big series here. Some games would be great for US release, some perfect for importing (remember, DS has no region lock, so you can play imports with your US handhelds), and others are just too weird to ignore. If you're looking for the best in import goodness though, you've come to the right place.
