Deadpool Mysteriously Delisted by Steam, PSN and XBL

Hardcore Gamer: While many gamers are ringing in the new year, various digital retailers have delisted Deadpool. (Deadpool, PC, PS3, Xbox 360)

Thats a shame. The game might not have been the best, but it was quite amusing in its own little way.
Neoninja  +   110d ago
Agree.
It didn't do anything that was OMG AMAZING, but what it did it did good. I had fun with it and loved the dialogue.
FITgamer  +   109d ago
True, but i loved it. They got his character spot on.
creatchee  +   109d ago
Agreed! They did such a great job in really making a Deadpool experience. Sure, the gameplay itself wasn't the greatest, but there were so many LOL and WTF moments that you can pretty much overlook that.

second marvel related game to go. Think Disney is behind it.
admiralvic  +   110d ago
Third. Xmen the Arcade game was also removed.
ApolloTheBoss  +   109d ago
Damn. Might need to buy Lego Marvel before they take that too.
ELpork  +   109d ago
I was wondering why it was suddenly taken off of the steam "Vote for discounted game" thing.

I had more fun watching someone do a playthrough of this game, especially the cutscenes, then I would have if I had bought and played it. I remember when hating on DmC was all the rage and people were saying that this game and MGR were being called the true dmc successors despite little to no gameplay of this game being shown at the time. Two games with dial a combo instead of letting you play the way you want unlike DmC. That irony. That being said, this is quite odd that marvel games are mysteriously disappearing. Is there some conspiracy going on that we don't know about? ಠ_ಠ

Ashamed for being a fan of the new DMC, the old games are good!
FantasyStar  +   109d ago
Why? The game plays similar to the older games. Credit where it's due.

"digital is the future!"
ELpork  +   109d ago
Right? Nothing like downloading! HERE WE COME 50 GIG FILES!

On a none sarcastic note, digital is the worst... I GOT ALL THESE SHELFS MAN! I wanna put cases in them!
hellvaguy  +   109d ago
Its about 1-2 gbs for that game. Where did pull 50gb game from? A litlle dramatic dont u think?
ELpork  +   109d ago
@Hellvaguy "Digital is the future"

AKA, not the past.

Most "Modern" games will have gig sizes upwards of 30. Which is why an "All digital future" will not only suck, but won't happen for a while.
hellvaguy  +   109d ago
Ya i cud see in a few years time games using up alot more space. However, hard drive capacity also gets bigger and bigger every year too. So maybe 5-7tb drives will be the norm by then. Its not all doom and gloom bro.

"Now where did I leave my game? Oh right, the company went bust and took it from the digital store."

Ah, the newfound joys of an all-digital future.

Guess the license reverted back to Disney from Activision? Same thing happened over the summer to the Bond games on Steam too.

Thank God Disney pull the plug on Shitty Activision!Give the License to someone like Platinum Games,or even to a small indie Studio im pretty sure they will do better with the license, take there time and dont need to do crunch work like High Moon did for an average game!

something is definitely up with Marvel and Disney right now
This isn't the only marvel game to be delisted very recently.

Konami delisted X-men arcade
Capcom delisted the Marvel vs Capcom games.

So this activision thing is just one more delisting in a potentially bigger issue as a whole.
rambi80  +   109d ago
Disney is against digital distribution of games.

Thats why none of the kingdom hearts games appear on psn
barb_wire  +   109d ago
I was about to write the same thing.. all about rights (in this case didital ones).

I have heard rumors (over on movie websites) that Disney is getting ready to launch (later in 2014 or early 2015) an all in one digital service for everything related Disney. Could be a reason why games are getting delisted.
hellvaguy  +   109d ago
@rambi

i havent heard of disney saying that, but why would this game have been digital in the first place if they were totally opposed to it?
Ozmoses  +   109d ago
Interesting.. This could potentially increase the value and/or rarity of the Physical copy.

It make no sense to just randomly delete it... I mean now we have no option to buy it digitally...

Sales might not have been good, but at least we had the opportunity to purchase it.
deadfrag  +   109d ago
Disney and Marvel are pulling the plug to the greed companys that dont do justice to this franchises.
Excalibur  +   109d ago
I got it for Christmas and started it a few days after, just beat it an hour ago on the hardest setting, I found it very entertaining and quite humorous, I don't know why it didn't do better than it did.
