Awesome game! Cant wait for part II.

I agree, I just finished this and was left wanting more. The combat engine is very addictive and that ending. Now trying hardest difficulty to see if there are any Easter eggs in the ending, plus max the game out.

I was stunned at the hardest difficulty, it's insane compared to the normal I couldn't even finish the prologue bit haha, good luck!

Its all about timing on hardest difficulties--that and using quick throws to get quick executes to even the odds. First time through I only used ranged when I had to but I kept my pilums stocked as often as I could on hardest difficulty and was literally a life saver on multiple occasions.

I just finished it off today actually but still several painful parts throughout. The more enemies at once the harder it gets (naturally but much worse on hardest difficulty). Sometimes you just have to dodge away to get some room between you and play defensively more often.

I also used focus/dmg boost more often as health regen on harder difficulty is almost not worth it (hp gain versus health loss when damaged is ridiculous--checkpoints are unfortunately you're best friend on Ryse as well as Knack... different system of course but similar games really as time based and very unforgiving once you make a wrong move).

This game has a blood type

There's a hater in here lol but anyhow the game is great otherwise PC and PS4 owners wouldn't have a petition for Crytek to turn it into a multiplatform title... Which won't happen btw lol

I was less than impressed with the play time provided by the game. The gameplay is terribly repetitive and lacks any real substance. Hack! Hack! Hack! Execution! Hack! Hack! Hack! Execution! Do that about a million times over again and that about says everything there is to say about Ryse.

Bigpappy881d ago

Nah. The most you do in this game is block and many time you also have to roll and run. But it is a hack and slash action game. They have been around for many years and always fine and audience. If you don't like this type of gameplay, you will know to avoid them in the future.

The story breaks up the actions and really make me angry enough to want to do what ever I need to get my sword on those for whom it seems designed to kill.

I have to agree that the download and install times on Xbox One are worse than PS4. However, find myself playing my Xbox One more (Dead Rising 3 & Forza 5). I have Ryse, but I haven't played it yet. I honestly don't know when I'll get to it, I still haven't touched AC4 on PS4.

Anyways, welcome to the club, it's not as bad as this website makes it look. Both systems are great in my opinion.

DEEBO881d ago

thanks, that was rush job with that 1st message but what are the best games to buy for the xone?
I was thinking dead rising and Ki any advice?

riverstars86880d ago (Edited 880d ago )

Deebo, I'd say say Dead Rising 3, Killer Instinct (make sure you do Dojo Mode to learn the basics, the tutorial was top notch) Forza 5, and Peggle 2 (looks dumb, but fun & very addicting). Can't vouch for Ryse, I have it, but I haven't played it yet.

As for multiplatform games, stick to PS4 until Xbox One gets dedicated servers for there games. I'll take better online play than better graphics any day, but that's just me.

I tried Following you on Xbox One, but I guess you didn't set up that your gamertag yet, hit me up if you want to play sometime.
