11 Best Mystery Games

GameGuru: "Our roster of the best mystery games is all set to provide you with a total of eleven offerings which will blow your minds with their amazing detective offerings. Games containing mystery elements don’t need to do much to have your attention, as their gripping plots and the constant questions of who, what, when and where which resonate in your minds provide you with lots of reasons to keep getting back into them." (3DS, Amnesia: The Dark Descent, Deadly Premonition: The Director’s Cut, Heavy Rain , L.A. Noire, PC, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies, PS3, Xbox 360)

Heavy Rain and LA Noire are both excellent. Virtue's Last Reward is good too.

I loved the fist play through of Heavy Rain but once you find out who the serial killer is you realise the game makes no sense and has tons of plot holes.

And similarly with L.A Noire the fist play through is great but you realise your actions have no real control over the story and so the 2nd try seems a little pointless.

Yeah, but like you said... the first time is great :D Same with Virtue's Last Reward. But they're definitely worth a first playthrough. Especially since they're so cheap right now.

I'm currently playing Beyond: Two Souls. Got it for $15 or $20 new during Black Friday. It's pretty good too, but I enjoyed Heavy Rain a bit more... just liked the dark story of it better.

I think Gone Home should have made the list as well. I feel labeling it a mystery game fits rather well.

@guitarded77 Absolutely yeah both games are incredible the first time so anyone happens to read this definitely try Heavy Rain and L.A Noire. I still haven't got Beyond yet but it'll be a January sale purchase for sure!
