Kotaku: Iron Man Game Rentals Beat Out GTA IV (Sorta)

Kotaku writes: "In GameFly's weekly run down of top releases they show that while Grand Theft Auto IV for the Xbox 360 took the top spot and Grand Theft Auto IV for the PS3 took the number three spot, Iron Man managed to wedge itself between the two, creating a crunchy GTA sandwich. The game based on the movie was also the top PSP and PS2 rental last week."

The story is too old to be commented.

"shrugs"

of course they play the bad movie tie in game.

but hay atleast there renting it and not buying

and renting GTA4 would kind of be missing the point of GTA

Yes, America is only the largest game market.

reflect interest rate? :/

Drekken3874d ago

This is a buyer and not a renter... And ironman is a renter. Nothing to see here, please move on.

Any sane person will buy GTA IV, not rent it.

Lord Vader3874d ago

Exactly. Iron Man will rule the rentals, whereas most Gamefly peeps like myself bought GTA IV.

I'm fairly sane. And I rented it. I never replay games anyway so I rent all my games. I spend $360 a year (gamefly) and get to play all new games. Anything else, is insane! Ok not really, but as I don't replay games it only makes sense.

you can buy 6 games a year with 360 dollars. so if you get bioshock, gta, halo, mass effect, orange box, and gears of war, you'd be set for way more than a year. and then when you're done with those games, you can get part of your investment back. so really...game renting isn't that great of a deal.

Even Roman could beat out Iron Man

This confirms my belief that there ARE smart people out there who also knew GTAIV would only be rent worthy.
