Asian Game Developers Summit 2006

From the intensity of multiplayer games to the simplicity of single-player ones, games are becoming an exciting development in terms of its business and technology potential. To get on with the game we’d like to invite you all to Asian Game Developers Summit 2006 (AGDS), a 2nd-year event scheduled for 9 – 10 December 2006 at The Orchard Hotel Singapore.

Jointly organised by the IGDA Malaysia, Singapore and Philippines, the well crafted programme aims to promote game development within the region and to provide education, networking and business opportunities for programmers, artist, producers, game designers, audio professionals and others involved in game development.

Over two-days, participants can expect enriching lectures, forums, round-table discussions on game development topics such as game design, game technology, game arts and animation, business, production and mobile, chaired by a rich panel of presenters who are game professionals themselves from around the region and internationally. It is truly an event organised by game developers for game developers.

Some of the over 30 Speakers include Ian Livingstone, OBE (Director of Product Acquisition, Eidos), Feargus Urquhart (CEO, Obsidian), Noah Falstein (CEO, The Inspiracy), Raymond Wong (MD, Koei Entertainment Singapore), Ragnar Tornkvist (Lead Designer, FunCom), and Tracy Fullerton (Professor, USC). AGDS offers 3 exciting tracks, spanning Game Development, The Business of Game Development, and Serious Games. It’s the place to be to network, and do business, in Asia.

Allan Simonsen, the coordinator of IGDA Singapore further adds that: "We are happy to have the recognition and support of MDA Singapore (Media Development Authority, Singapore) and sponsorship by key game players the likes of EA (Electronic Arts, NASDAQ:ERTS), the world's leading developer and publisher of interactive entertainment and Hewlett-Packard (Commercial Systems Unit, Asia Pacific and Japan), the industry leader with more than 20 years of experience designing and certifying high performance workstations for game developers.".
