MP1st - A small but very necessary update has recently hit the PC version of Battlefield 4.
An update to fix an update's problems... Nice. I love Battlefield, but this is just ridiculous.
Do any of you actually own the game for PC? I do. A lot of people are just passing along false "of the moment" information because it's the easy cool thing to do. I've had the game freeze on me like 4 times total since I've owned it. ( about 2 weeks ) * Some people are making a bigger deal about issues, than what they really are. I play with friends and we all have different PC builds with different graphics cards and mostly different OS's and still the game runs fine for all of us without any problems outside of a random freeze which takes 2 minutes to get back into the game. * This is how these ideas and issues spread into something more than they ever really were. Do you know how many games have had patches ? Remember when Starcraft got a patch? Yup that game probably sucks right ? Same for the Age of Empires series....I seem to remember how awesome these were even with patches. Stop acting like patches are somehow a bad thing now. You are literally making fun of people for trying to make a situation BETTER. Think about that for a second.
I do not own it personally on PC, because I've heard so many negative things about it. I do however have friends who own it, and have been extremely frustrated with it. So no, I will not own it on PC until it becomes stable. That's great if you haven't had many bad experiences with it, but friends of mine have. Bottom line is, they should have released a FULLY working game. Is that such a huge thing to ask for when paying $60 dollars for a product? I sure as heck wouldn't pay upfront to go see a movie, then have them tell me "wait while we edit the footage a bit, it's not 100% finished. Come back a few weeks later." I'm not a big fan of FPS games, but Battlefield is definitely one of my favorite franchises in that genre. If not my favorite. The game looks crazy fun, they just need to get it working.
Patch to patch
More like to patch the patch of pathch for the other patches that patched the patch of the original patch.
What's the file size of the update this time? I see in the preview it says small update. Can't view the article yet, at work.
891.87 MB for me. Not sure if their was a patch in the 6 days that I did not play but that does not seem small to me.
Holy crap I hope that was from another patch lol and that this one is smaller.
Patch #1 December 3 = 890 MB Patch #2 December 16 = 880 MB China Rising Update December 17 - 4.4 GB Patch #3 December 20 = 178 MB
Ah okay, that's much better then. May have to try playing it on PC to see what happens.
i instantly thought this.
The format isn't even right...
Im sorry, I'm at work and a bit rushed. Next time i will have a co-worker review any meme i make to ensure all formatting remains intact, as i would not want to cause any issues with getting said joke. It appears I have fallen under the EA spell by releasing a meme in an unfinished state. I will release a patch to this meme shortly.
I thought your comment/meme was funny, regardless of the format. Kids these days....can't live with them, can't push them into oncoming traffic...
I am a student of software engineering; I can tell you that something has gone horrible wrong down at Electronic Arts. They create the product so they define the requirements that must then be tested against. What is their testing process like. Completing a project in a timely manner is a key component to good software design. This project shipped in an unfinished state. Obviously. The chances of outselling COD are remote so you might as well have a solid showing to win people over.
Its quite clear the game publishers/developers aren't willing to invest in a game to have it comepleted done by release date. What most companies do it run some kind of alpha/beta pre-release and work on it as they go, Project CARS is a prime example, you buy into the the developemtn and get regular releases. It seems some publishers jut put out the game under the guise of a finsihed product with the knowlege that they will fix the development of the game post release. These arn't patches, a patch implies fixing something they didnt know before release. I'm pretty sure on a wall in DICE there is a list of fixes/updates/improvements that will be added post release. We were given a beta and it's being fixed in production. Customers probably wouldn't mind if devs were more upfront and transparent about what they were doing. But deadline, console release, marketing, blah blah blah and all that jazz.
This franchise will be in ruins soon, thanks EA.
patch to fix a patch ...yey...lmao
... but brings new bugs :D have to agree with many players, that the hit detection got messed up somehow with the latest updates.
Right....the hit detection is messed up. It certainly couldn't be your crappy aim. I kid, I kid.
