Rockstar said there coming in 2014. Most likely march or May . I feel like its gonna be later so they can still get some more people to play or come back. But there still is a lot of people playing online I play it maybe twice a week and rooms are always filled

Audiggity3779d ago

Agreed. Not to mention the complexity (See below post)

Audiggity3779d ago (Edited 3779d ago )

Hahaha... "heists please." ... "I want heists." WTF? Seriously?

Great idea. Let's have them rush the heist system, so it sucks. Have you guys thought about the complexity of the heists? How they will be planned? The need to speed up planning and prep to maintain the attention spans of their current, whiny, audience? How much money to hand out on a heist, who gets it, is it split automatically or manually? What if someone dies? What if other players not in the group are waiting outside of the bank? Is it a mission or free mode?

I could keep going. But, let me break it down. R* is releasing game modes that can be played in a vacuum. You win or you lose. Heists adds a whole new layer of options, and if we're being honest, the ability to make a LOT more money than races, TDM, Survival, etc... but they can't allow people to make too much, or make it too easy, because then it will be exploited.

Think before you begin to complain folks.

Dee_913779d ago

They should have had a majority of that done the moment they announced heists would be available online. How are you going to tell people not to ask for something that was advertised to be in the game? That makes no sense. If it wasn't ready they shouldn't have announced it as if it would be in the game.

Audiggity3779d ago (Edited 3779d ago )

"they announced heists would be available online"

"If it wasn't ready they shouldn't have announced it as if it would be in the game"

Can you re-read your comments sir? You are completely correct on both points. They said this WOULD BE available. They didn't say the availability is dependent on the amount of complaints coming from a myopic, impatient fan-base. Did they? If so, I missed it.

The entitlement is astounding.

I can tell people not to ask for something that was advertised to be in the game. You know why? Because it is clearly not ready - you all crying about it does NOTHING to fix that. They owe you absolutely nothing. Everyone that bought GTAV got more than $60 worth.

And if you don't agree because "If it wasn't ready they shouldn't have announced it as if it would be in the game." Just sell your copy of the game and move on. Those of you mindlessly demanding something that is far more advanced than you can imagine; probably don't have an abundance of patience or comprehension of the complexity that is GTAV.

So, that's how I'm going to tell people not to ask for something.

This is the equivalent of what intelligent people hear when the underlings 'demand' heists: I WANT TO GO TO MARS YO! BECAUSE SOMEONE AT NASA SAID WE WERE GOIN' TO MARS AT SOME POINT IN THE FUTURE AND WE AIN'T THERE YET! I WANT MY TAXES BACK!

MARS PLEASE!

Dee_913779d ago (Edited 3779d ago )

"Can you re-read your comments sir? You are completely correct on both points. They said this WOULD BE available. They didn't say the availability is dependent on the amount of complaints coming from a myopic, impatient fan-base. Did they? If so, I missed it. "

Why would I need to re-read my comment? Because you think an request for an advertised feature is an complaint?
They didn't say when it would be available at all.Which is the entire issue at hand.Don't make something seem like its going to be available day one, or in this case, the day Online mode was available, which is what r* did.

"I can tell people not to ask for something that was advertised to be in the game. You know why? Because it is clearly not ready - you all crying about it does NOTHING to fix that."

Why would they announce something thats not ready as if it was ready? If they led people to think that it was indeed ready,as they did, people have all the rights to question why isn't it available yet.Therefor you have no rights to tell people how to react."The entitlement is astounding." So is the irony.

"They owe you absolutely nothing. Everyone that bought GTAV got more than $60 worth"

They owe us what they promised us, and they owe us an explanation as to why they promised us something that wasn't ready.Hhmmm. So not only can you tell people not to "complain" you can also talk for everyone... The self entitlement is indeed "astounding" here.

"And if you don't agree because "If it wasn't ready they shouldn't have announced it as if it would be in the game." Just sell your copy of the game and move on."

Why should I sell my copy? Did I say I hate the game or something? Can you quote me on that? I think not.Is that enough of a reason to sell a game to you? Or do you think I should just shut up and take what i'm given and not ask any questions? A free country might not be the place for you if you feel that way friend.

"Those of you mindlessly demanding something that is far more advanced than you can imagine; probably don't have an abundance of patience or comprehension of the complexity that is GTAV."

We are only "demanding" what was promised to us.So please forgive us and have mercy old great master wizard of the n4g comments section...The complexity of implementing heists online is completely irrelevant. If they announced that heists would be coming in an update a year later you just might have an point however they didn't.They made it seem as if it would be included the moment online mode was available.

Audiggity3779d ago (Edited 3779d ago )

So... you just run around in circles constantly repeating yourself by saying that they made it seem* like it would be available as soon as GTA:O was released.

Perhaps you missed the numerous press releases prior to GTA:O being launched - explaining that there would be numerous bugs, bandwidth issues, and heists (along with other game modes) would not be available at launch?

You can demand what was promised, sure. But no promises were broken. You are simply whining to get something before it is ready.

You can complain all you want, it is a free country. I am simply illustrating how pointless and short-sighted your complaint is.

Keep it going! Rockstar will certainly release an incomplete game-mode if you keep reminding them that they broke a make-believe promise that you have chosen to believe in!

"The complexity of implementing heists online is completely irrelevant." Really? Ok, so, then, I think EA once mentioned that they plan to develop a virtual reality game - if the complexity is irrelevant, WHERE IS IT?! I WANT MY VIRTUAL REALITY GAME!

Haha. You know what is irrelevant Dmarc? Whining about "Heists" in a news post that announced "Capture" mode. That, sir, is irrelevant.

Do you even know what irony or self-entitlement mean? You used both of them out of context. I was actually doing the opposite of both. I'm not being ironic and my comments reflect the inverse of entitlement as I am promoting patience and empathy.

They don't owe you anything just because you jumped to a conclusion... end of story.

Dee_913779d ago (Edited 3779d ago )

Hmm obviously I still need to "go around in circles constantly repeating myself" since you still cant comprehend what i'm saying considering you're still saying a request for a promised feature is an complaint.Let me explain it better so that it would easier for you to connect the dots.

The only article they released talking about delays a week prior to the release of gta online said these updates would be included weeks later, all this 2014 stuff is pure speculation and assumptions from websites until R* confirms it. The point is, regardless of the article announcing the delay, if these things weren't ready the day online was released.Don't advertise it as being in the game, all of the complexities you are talking about should've been handled prior to announcing these features, so like I said it is completely irrelevant to the discussion about rather these questions or "complaints" are justified.
These are the reasons people are asking questions and inquiring about Heists online, or in your mind "complaining and whining and crying". I don't care that they did it this way, and I'm not even "complaining" because I enjoy online regardless.

""The complexity of implementing heists online is completely irrelevant." Really? Ok, so, then, I think EA once mentioned that they plan to develop a virtual reality game - if the complexity is irrelevant, WHERE IS IT?! I WANT MY VIRTUAL REALITY GAME!

Haha. You know what is irrelevant Dmarc? Whining about "Heists" in a news post that announced "Capture" mode. That, sir, is irrelevant. "

You want to know how I can tell you have issues with comprehension? Because you took that sentence out of context because you failed to comprehend everything I typed prior to and after it.
You want to know whats not irrelevant? Asking about a promised feature for a game in an article talking about other features in said game.
Instead of presenting yourself like an R* employee trying to explain the technicalities of creating and implementing features in a video game, how about you post links to articles from R* explaining the reason for the delay.Instead of complaining about "complainers".Honest ly I wouldn't even care if you where only trying to explain what caused the delay, however you are over stepping your boundaries trying to belittle people because they are curious about a feature that was promised to be in a game that isnt.

Audiggity3778d ago (Edited 3778d ago )

Sorry Dmarc, we will simply have to agree to disagree. The reason we sit at polar opposites is because you seem to:

- Equate vague announcements to promises with deadlines

- Expect a list of reasons to explain a delay, when no delay actually exists (feel free to find a single source/video/quote indicating heists would be available upon launch)

- Complain, and then claim you aren't complaining. Even in your first post; 2 of the 4 sentences were complaints. Disguising this as being "curious" does not elevate your point.

- Misquote people: "complaining and whining and crying" - really? Did I type that? I mean, it's accurate! But, lose the quotes my man.

Sorry if you feel that I'm posting as a R* employee. I can understand your perception. At the end of the day, I firmly believe the entire gaming industry has become very stale - in desperate need of fresh/innovative titles. GTA V is one of very, VERY few that meet this need (in my opinion)... so I get very annoyed when people essentially do nothing but post negative comments/complaints/demands; particularly while the developer is doing FAR MORE than nearly any other competitor out there when it comes to improving and expanding their product.

Look at the most recent news for Battlefield 4: http://n4g.com/news/1415542... : A game that's largely been recycled (not innovative at all) gets away with months of un-addressed glitches.

All while GTA V takes community heat for not giving out free content fast enough. And, R* made a billion+ on GTAV, and probably $1.5+ billion by the time next-gen/PC releases occur. They don't give a $hit what people complain about!

So, I agree to disagree.

Dee_913778d ago (Edited 3778d ago )

So you think an advertise feature is an "vague announcement"? The moment they mentioned Online they said heist would be the main focal point indicating that it would be there day one.Its common sense.

You fail to comprehend the point and stance I am making.First off I am telling you reasons people may ask or "complain" about the feature that was advertised to be in the game that isn't.Second I made it clear that I don't care that its not in the game because things get delayed and stuff happens, HOWEVER I can see why people would ask questions and with that, you have no right to tell people not to.These questions are the result of a feature that got delayed, simple as that, and once again we as a consumer have the right to ask questions.

Where exactly did I state MY comment wasn't an complaint? I said the comments YOU ARE REPLYING TO aren't complaints. They are simply questions and inquiries.

You specifically said everything I put in those quotation marks.I admit you didn't specifically make that sentence and the lack of proper punctuation on my behalf may have made it seem that it was a misquote, but you get the point I am making, at least I hope you did.Was that suppose to a response to me pointing out how you took a sentence out of context?

You ran out of bubbles so we agree to disagree I suppose.

@disagrees
Didn't have a good rebuttal did you? We all know the select players are whales who waste thousands or hundreds of thousands on the games currency. You expect them to make the same kinds of demands as everyone else? Keep dreaming.

Well that and most likely streamers who have helped harpoon all those whales lolz.

Why is this news? Is this supposed to be some sort of heads up to those involved?

Kombatologist36d ago

Why shouldn't this be news? If you play the game at all, you'd know this has been a problem for a while. Tell me, how is it fair for legit low-level players to be grieved by players using modded accounts with disposable amounts of cash? It's about time Rockstar did something about these losers.

BISHOP-BRASIL36d ago (Edited 36d ago )

Not that I really played it in forever, but the way I used to roll on online once I realize I had no interest in actually doing heists and micromanaging property and shit, the moment someone decided to pick a fight I'd just leave towards north, jump the fence of the army base, steal a jet and grief away... Pro tip: they can't really make you pay for other players cars when you have not one single penny to your name.

EDIT: Got carried away... Anyway, my point was, you can grief without money, this is not stopping it.

Kombatologist35d ago

@BISHOP-BRASIL

I get what you're trying to say, but it's a false equivalence. Anyone could jump the fence and grab a jet back in the day. The dynamic changed once R* started introducing militarized vehicles, such as flying motorcycles with homing rockets, a stealth helicopter, and most recently, a stealth jet. There's so many militarized vehicles now, you really have to keep up with the latest and greatest in order to defend yourself from that shit, which is really expensive to do. Sure, you could make the argument that Shark Cards give players the same advantage as a modded account. The thing is, they don't. Not even close. A modded account can have ANY amount of money, as well as ANY weapon and/or vehicle, even ones that aren't available in the game yet (as long as they're in the datafiles). Some of them even have glitched characters with invisible limbs/weapons. This is an unfair advantage to anyone who plays legitimately and nobody should have to risk getting their accounts permanently banned from stooping to the same level just to compete. Furthermore, making money is really easy to do now. Which begs the question: Why buy a modded account in the first place? I think the answer is obvious.
