Wii U Console Review | Richie D Rants

Rich Drummond of Richie D Rants says:

"I’ve called it boring, lacking in titles and really nothing special in the past and in my defense, it that all was true to a certain extent. Well the time came where I found the Wii U appealing enough and I finally caved. Last week I purchased the Wii U and now that I’ve spent an extensive amount of time with it, I can confidently say that the Wii U is exactly what I wanted from it, a perfect secondary console...."

I give it my lowest score ever. Seven thumbs up.

Agree with a lot of the article apart from the Wii U being a secondary console.

Wii U will always be my primary console as has best 1st and 2nd party games and a decent amount of 3rd Party and indie games whereas all my ps4 has to offer is 3rd party titles.

I hope my calling the Wii U a secondary console doesn't come off as an insult. I really do enjoy everything it brings to the table and it's blow my expectations out of the water

In my case it's a secondary platform, but that is because I only have one primary platform, and that is my PC. If I was a console gamer I would consider my PS4 my primary platform while everything else secondary.

My primary handheld console is my 3DS though.

I dont see why its a bad thing if its a secondary platform. The only reason why you would get a Wii U is to play excellent Nintendo games on it. All the multiplats will be better on the other two plus those platforms will have much better 3rd party support.

Nice review. My only gripe is that "secondary console" remark. But hey, too each his own.

Nevertheless, this may be my primary 8th-gen system. I can't say that I'll be getting the XBOX One or even PS4; simply because there aren't any games, released or currently announced that tickle my fancy enough to get them. And seeing that XBOX 360 and PS3 are getting modest support thus far, that shouldn't diminish any time soon due to the large install base, I may very well pick up one of them, as it would be easier on my wallet.

Regardless though; nice review. It was a good read.

I agree the WiiU has the best line up of games for me at the moment too. I sold my PS3, 360 and PSV a few months ago and got a xbox one as I wanted Forza 5 as I love the series, Fifa 14 and KI for it. I fancy DR3 and Ryse but due not to having as much time as ive had in the past for games I wanted Pikmin 3, Sonic Lost World, Mario 3D world and Windwaker more.

For me this generation is about the 3DS, WiiU and Xbox one for me as these consoles have more games I want on than then any others out there and like I said with less time to play games I have had to pick what I wanted and the WiiU,, Xbox One and 3DS have more IP's I want.
