Square Enix has released new screenshots from Final Fantasy X-2 HD.
You’ll see movie scenes, characters, battles, menus and systems, dresspheres, creature create, mini-games, and the three months after-story “Last Mission.”
@GeckoPutt Since I can´t reply to you, I´ll reply to myself. This dressphere is NOT in the original version of the game. It is only in the International version, which includes Last Mission.
I wanna see Nooj's and Seymour's hair battle it out. The title for most F'ed up hair.
That aside, can't wait to buy this. It's the only money I'll have given SE since FFXIII and to think, it's basically a game I already own on PS2 and when I doplay it,I play it on PCSX2.
This definitely isn't your typical HD remastering. There is a very noticeable upgrade in the character models and magic effects. That is awesome you get to go into this as a fresh experience. you will love this game if you are a FF fan.
To be honest i don't care anymore about FF series. What they did to it its just sad. Instead making some good sequels they just cutting corners for more money. That's just sad.
There was time i would by next FF with my eyes closed... that time is long gone.
It comes out in March I believe for NA. If you pre-order it now, you'll get an exclusive box with special art, and an artbook along with the game for the same price as the regular edition.
I'm still despising Square Enix for ignoring a damn great amount of people that were asking for a FFVII remake, yet they put out two sequels to the most divisive FF, sort trying to force us to love Lightning. I also hate that they slapped the FFV title to Versus XIII. It's really not a bad thing to move away from XIII, but to me it just shows how stubborn they've become. It just seemed like a lazy move.
This HD collection is the only thing they've done so far that I don't completely disagree with. It's something absolutely no one asked for (like the XIII sequels), but I find it to be good that younger players that missed it could now enjoy it... but that's also my opinion on FFVII and a remake.
There are many reasons SE hasn't made an HD remake of FFVII. 1) The original assets(3d models, artwork, notes) are long lost; that's official word from SE. 2) The charm of FFVII came from its pre-rendered backgrounds and blocky 3d models. An HD remake would ruin the charm. 3) The original team who led the project are gone from SE.
I was going to have a long list of reasons but got lazy. It would be monumentally difficult to recreate FFVII in HD and keep its initial charm. That's not to say it can never happen but I can understand why SE is hesitant to touch it. IMO, VI-IX deserve an HD remake.
Actually there have been requests for HD versions of FF VII-FFXII, so I guess that debunks the whole " nobody asked for" argument right there.Besides, the whole aspect of changing FFVXIII to FFXV isn´t lazy at all, it´s quite positive. It assures the game will receive proper work and budget to make it the best possible, and it will allow it to stand on it´s own, far from the FFXIII name. Since the name change it has been announced that several other top directors and developers of SE joined the project. Why? Because it´s now a fully fledged FF game.
I don't remember that costume with a blindfold...

@Above, looks like glasses that hug the skull.
I never got to play FFX, I'm looking forward to this. This is how HD collections suppose to look like.
