Hardcore Gamer: We’re big fans of Android gaming here at Hardcore Gamer, whether it’s via the Google Play store’s offerings like the recent Sonic 2 revamp, or the OUYA.
If the ouya was any indication (it did have some success, but really not even close on the level some people were expecting it to see), this product will just go largely un-noticed. And ouya had that massive hype behind it as well. From what I've read online, mojo has seen none of that.
As soon as I saw Mad Catz, I made my decision. I still remember the buzzing sound that came from my TV whenever I used their PS2 A/V cords.
$250 to play cell phone games on my tv? Pass.
Call me old-fashioned, but when I see "Mad Catz" on a product, I automatically assume it's a trash product that is only a step above a total knockoff product. All their products for me have been so cheap to have stopped working in mere weeks. Their memory cards were the worst, too. The one good thing is that they made little headsets for the original Xbox (I guess we can't call it the Xbox one anymore :\) which were, I think, only $4.99 each? They were uncomfortable as hell, cheap as duck, but still didn't break quite as easily as Mad Catz' other affairs. ...so a console from them? I think I'll pass on those terms alone.
Yea. Good luck with that thing competing against , ps4, xbone, wii u, steam mashine lol
How did you seriously manage to misspell "machine".
It's made of potatoes.
Simple, by typing on my phone and thinking that most people are smart enough to read between the lines, i guess i was wrong oOo
Bring it down to $99 and I'll give it a chance.
Isn't MadCatz one of the best peripheral manufacturers these days?
I guess they make good fight sticks but I think Hori better.
Hori makes amazing fighting sticks Mad Catz are alright.
Their arcade sticks and rat 9 mice are some of the highest quality peripherals in the industry. However they also make a lot money by selling what are effectively cheap knockoff versions of official stuff. Ultimately you get what you pay for though, if they release a PS3 controller for half the price as a DS3, expect it to be lesser quality than a DS3. Their MLG series controllers however are much better quality than the PS3 / 360 default pads, almost double the price too though. They also acquired Tritton in 2011 or so, who make great headsets across all platforms... People forget about a lot of things, probably partially because their better products are more expensive, so most consumers aren't exposed to them (ie a lot of consumers are cheap, buy cheap things, and find themselves disappointed with the outcome).
$250 for a console that can only play the games you have on your mobile device... *facepalm* The price is what makes this alternative the worst when you can buy an add-on that lets you stream anything from your mobile device to your TV...for much less. And it doesn't help that it's coming from MadCatz. I bought 2 controllers from them, a PS2 and a Gamecube controller. The PS2 controller didn't work and the Gamecube controller's trigger weren't pressure sensitive, meaning that you were fucked with a lot of the games. Everything they make has a problem with it.
I smell a flop.
Buy it when its cheapr, leat 2gb ram lol. Or gets octa core tablet 3gb ram samsung lol
For some reason I'm reminded of Tiger Electronics. Gateway MT6706 2008
Let's hope it's more useful than their turbo button.
i would rather buy Nvidias Shield.
The reviews on amazon lol
Id rather get the shield.
