'The Division' is about traditional exploring, says Massive Entertainment

This past Saturday evening, we were presented with yet another impressive display of visuals and power that The Division will be bringing to players' living rooms next year.

Massive Entertainment's director of communications Martin Hultberg did take the time to speak a little bit about the game's world, what it's about and how difficult it was to come up with an idea for the Tom Clancy series that hadn't been done before.

Great, i love exploring and being really thorough when i play games. Im just going to be walking around on this game, admiring the engine, the graphics and the details.

christocolus3787d ago

Yup..sounds like my type of game.

malokevi3787d ago

Same here. Can't wait to see how they are going to handle PVP. I'm hoping there are massive areas you can wander into seamlessly where PVP is allowed, and it streams gamers into your game who are nearby in the sort of way that Destiny does. That would put this title at the top of my list.

christocolus3787d ago

Was thinking the exact same thing...i guess other players will be able to join your game online..cos the first in game trailer showed three guys teaming up against a group of bad guys

It's the game i'm waiting the most...
The infamous and destiny . . .
The thing is probably sony 1st party studios got some good things under their dresses, but just 'probably' since we have no idea and i'd say they're losing hype ground behin The division for me...
Time for them to show something huge in-game!

Roccetarius3787d ago

I'll wait and see what the deal is about this. Could be good, could be a pretty shooter that gets old quick.

It's probably meant to be played in co-op.

Its going to be awesome.

I am in absolute agreement with the OP 👌

I hate when I see single player games and see people begging for multi-player. Jeez guys it don't need to be on every game. Latest one I seen was atomic heart.

Multiplayer or even co-op

If it was always a single player game then that's how it is

Inverno380d ago

It's a trend that never really went away. For me multiplayer in a primarily SP focused game was an excuse for DLC. Then there's the mentality gamers had that adding multiplayer makes a game worth the price, otherwise it should be half price for half a game. A way of thinking devs reassured when they started adding multiplayer to their sequels. We see the same with multiplayer focused games getting SP in their sequels.

Tbh multilayer now is a way to add live service and mtx elements, very rarely does it come of well.

What single players game used to be in a lot of cases now require 3 other people for keeping to really enjoy it and I hate having to rely on others to get the maximum from a game.

Sp should be sp, if devs want to add a separate multi mode then that's fine with me, the legends addition to ghost of tshushima was fricking sick but totally separate to the main game. Sick of co op too.

I remember when certain single player games had them as included optional modes that was played on the couch. Had brilliant times with Syphon Filter and Golden Eye. Me and my bro used to used to fight over who would play as Gabe even though it was technically just a skin. Good times.

I didn't notice your comment before I added mine.
But good times indeed
