Assassin's Creed 4 DLC: new locations and AC5 hints

Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag's upcoming add-on Freedom Cry will include new locations and hints at the next Assassin's Creed game, Ubisoft has told Eurogamer. (Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One)

I don't think we need hints that AC5 is coming. It's inevitable.

Think they mean the location of AC5

since 2007 there has been at least one AC game each year.
Looking at AC4 success its a no brainer that AC Next is coming.

A lot of evidence has been leading toward feudal Japan. There is enough there for the game elements to fit, at least the platforming/free-running - naval combat could possibly be made to work.

I could see a pre-American revolution London working - for both the ongoing story and gameplay elements, but I believe fans would be more receptive to the Japanese setting.

Not right in the middle of the feudal period but I would prefer at the end of it, at around the same time as Total War Fall of the Samurai (and the Last Samurai but it hurts me to evoke this pile of historical nonsense).
19th century, a lot of political tension, foreign powers involved and a very quick transition from feudal Japan to a westernized empire. Plus, a lot of people got assassinated during that time!

Japan is too cliche and predictable according to ubisoft.

French Revolution/Japan/Victorian London

All awesome locations, makes me think of AC II. Something they should def get back too. I haven't tried Black Flag, so if that's a ACII clone then scold me now.

Victorian London would be SICK!

I was playing this weekend, and after sequence 3 when you go to the Abstergo COO's office there are two head sculptures in glass cases. All the artwork on the walls in his office is pirate stuff, but on of the sculptures is clearly a Roman. I know later things in the game allude to about every location possible, but I thought this was odd in his office.

My hopes are for Japan or Ancient Rome. If you pick the right time like the Julius Caeser era, you can use multiple places around the Mediterranean. Rome, Greece, and Egypt can all be included. Hello Assassin gladiators.
