The NSA is Using Xbox Live, Second Life and World of Warcraft to Spy on You

For a lot gamers, playing video games is method of escape. A means to leave all your real life issues, nuances and responsibilities behind and head into a world where you can become whoever you want. You can slay dragons, take down terrorists, score a hat-trick and ride a magical pony all night long before you have to start your McJob at 8 in the morning. We clock in to our virtual worlds to clock-out of the real world where corruption, dishonesty and deceit run free. Well, it turns out, they've found a way into our magical lair and have bugged the darn place.

The NSA and it's UK sister, GCHQ, have made their way into our virtual sanctuary. They're in Azeroth, they're on Xbox Live and they're in whatever they're in on Second Life – I have no idea where they hang out in Second Life. (Culture, Second Life, World of Warcraft, Xbox LIVE)

This is a large reason I ditched Microsoft long ago

Better get ready to ditch more than just Microsoft.
Never touch anything related to Google.
Physically disable any microphone and camera that may be in/connected to your laptop or pc.
Use throw away cell phones.
Make sure you've never once said anything negative about the US government, because the NSA is doing much, much more than what is being reported about right now; if a company isn't willingly working with them, they are going behind those companies backs and doing it anyway.
Your right to privacy will be a thing of the past in a few years if the US government keeps going the way it's going.

Sorry for the rant, but I just can't understand how more people are not up in arms over what the NSA is doing.

I completely agree, I don't see how people aren't more concerned about this! That have back door access to just about anything and there is no hiding or privacy!
