No he is not still with Sony, the marketing campaign was actually not that successful. Yes the gamers loved it, and yes I thought it was one of the best marketing campaigns ever. But commercials are more for the mass market and less for the hardcore, so in that regard it was a failure. It didnt resonate with the mass market.

Wrong. Actually, Sony sued the actor, Jerry Lambert after he appeared in a marketing campaign for Bridgestone (which was also sued) and promoted the Wii in a commercial. The case settled out of court. That is why he is no longer with Sony.

Mine actually doesn't download game updates from standby. Had it on standby all day then turned it on and was prompted to download the BF4 update.

Also, with System update 1.51 it downloaded in standby but didn't install.

Go to "Power Saving Options", then "Set Functions Available in Standby Mode" & tick the box "Connect to the Internet". It'll download then.

Mine won't either, and I'm certain every setting is correct. I'm getting pretty tired of stuff downloading after I bring it out of standby, and even more tired of people saying the same things over and over again to fix it. It just won't work for me, period, no matter what I do.

They should have mentioned the keyboard typing with motion controls. Takes some time getting used to at first, but it's way faster than using the d-pad once you get the hang of it!
Seems like nobody is talking about this feature at all.

Thanks for the heads up. I had ready discovered most of it, but you are right, as it's not activated by default some people wouldn't notice for a long time. And the PS button double tap was a new one on me, thanks.

While typing click the left (i think) stick and the motion sensor on the controller kicks in and allows you to select letters with it. It's pretty cool but typing with a controller is much faster.

I wish I could use the touchpad for typing. Future firmware update I bet. Meh, I'll wait Sony!

I actually just find out of a cool feature I didn't know about last night....

When you turn on a second controller you can select another account and switch between multiple accounts by pushing the PS button on each controller..... it's awesome.

You can 'remove disc' with the controller, go the the game that has its disc in, and press option
