And I think it's time to drop this silly idea that PS4 has no games... It does not have Titanfall. That is true and stinks for PS4 fans. Well, I think it was already clear that ps4 was in higher demand, but there has been some ineffective use of data here.

This data only tallied NA sales. It's widely known that Sony shipped more consoles to NA for their launch than MS did. Naturally, that means there were more ps4s to be potentially resold that week. The analyst should have been more interested in the percentage of consoles sold at retail that were subsequently resold on eBay.

Then, there's also the caveat that these numbers could be indicative of the number of consoles that fell into the hands of those who wanted to actually play them instead of scalp them.

if people were willing, they would have shown up to ebay with just as much money and been willing to pay for the xbox one for as much, if not more. demand is demand... it is very very hard to deny which console is in more demand right now. the data, the anecdotes from stores, the amazon listings... X1 is doing great and not failing at all. But Sony's really crushing right now. Either way, the console games industry is very much alive and well and we should all be glad for that.

What I take from all this is that pre release the demand was high for the PS4...while MS was making changed and damage control since launch.

Now that both systems are out they BOTH are doing well. Based on the backlash XB1 is doing well. Its just that the PS4 is doing much better in sales.

Does more sales mean an automatic win this gen...who knows.

All I know is that I am happy that console gaming is off to a great start. Even though I prefer the xbx I would never want another system to die off.

I look at the NFL offerings and its only Madden and that makes me sick to my stomach. I want choices. I am a little dissapointed how bad NBA live 14 turned out. I wasnt expecting it to threaten 2K14 but I was hoping it was good enough to spur a competition.

Because as good as 2K14 is...it is severely lacking in a lot of areas that LIVE could have jumped on.

I look forward to future great NEW IPS coming out. I will keep my eye out for the PS4 because as soon as that MUST have title drops I will go buy one with the quickness lol.

Well, that's inevitable, considering their are 80million 360s vs a potential 5mil Xbox 1's. That said, the 360 version isn't a direct port, and the xb1 version will no doubt drive Xbox 1 hardware. Especially the inevitable bundle. There's a good chance titanfall and halo will help MS avoid a price drop until next Christmas.

The masses that will buy titanfall dont care for resolution. They are not showing their parents or friends titanfall and saying i want it cause its 1080 p 60 frames. But those positive early impressions are based off of pre-rendered video and/or "actual gameplay" on high-end PC's behind the curtains. As far as I know no one has seen TF running on the XOne.

As many others have stated, the fact that this isn't really a XOne console exclusive means it may not move that much hardware if it runs reasonable well on a 360 or folks already have a mid-range PC.
