This is currently like $2.50 on PS Store if anyone is even remotely interested.

I actually just got it the other day because of the sale.

I'm on the PS4 now, so unless this game makes it there I've moved on.

i was just wondering if anyone still played this game. It was great for the first couple of months that I played it, but then it got pretty stale pretty fast.

I still play regularly. Arkfalls are pretty fun with the new Darkmatter arkfalls, and I love the co-op missions (I believe they also added a few new ones). Hunting for the free clothing options is fun too instead of just paying for them in the cash shop, it makes the missions a bit more intense trying to complete all of the requirements before the end of the mission to gain the special outfit as a prize.

And now that they've opened up the mods and put them in stores so that you can just buy them is a huuuge bonus.

I hated the first Borderlands because I couldn't just put a blade on any pistol I wanted, or I couldn't add fire damage to any gun I wanted, but now on Defiance I can do just that because Mods have their own store and you can mix and match any mods you want for any weapon. They also added the charged blades which adds a different dynamic to the combat system.

The game still has a few flaws, but if you know what to look for you can still have a lot of fun. If you stopped playing I highly recommend you start up again. Completing all of the pursuits and Co-op missions is a great way to keep the game fun.

That was one of the disappointments that I had with Borderlands 2 because pre-release they made it sound like Eridium was going to be a currency that you could use to mod your weapons. I would love to see that in Borderlands 3 because let's face it there will be a Borderlands 3.

Wait, Borderlands 2 still doesn't let you customize guns? I haven't played it yet and I honestly haven't looked the game up much. The game was all about the bazillion guns and if I still can't mod them that's a bit disappointing. There is a rumor that they will be making a "Border worlds", but I don't know if there is any truth to that.

I remember with the first Borderlands before it came out we had a gaming magazine that was sent to us monthly, and they made it sound like you could customize and change your characters a bit. Turns out that wasn't in the final game. It looked like they went for it because some of the parts were given to the enemies, but players couldn't customize their own characters. Maybe they will get it right for the next game. :/

I had a good time with the original Defiance years back, honestly.

Me too. I remember putting a lot of hours into it before it went free to play. After, it went f2p, I didn't play it near as much, but it makes me nostalgic.

I liked the show and picked up a sealed collectors edition of the 360 game for $5 at a thrift store a couple years ago.

isarai1148d ago

It had a good run honestly, way better than it had any business being, especially for it to be part of a tv series

boing11148d ago

Yeah, I'm surprised it went for so long too. Tried the game but didn't click for me. I liked the TV series, though.

isarai1148d ago

I gave it about a dozen hours, was fun even tho MMOs aren't my thing. But to even keep me around that long is impressive lol

Paid $11 for this POS way back and I still felt ripped off
