not sure why the obsession with making consoles look like the NES. is it just me or is the NES not particularly good looking?

i agree, the NES didn't look very good in its design. i think the reasons some people want these are partly a nostalgia thing, and partly an "i feel special because i have something rare" thing.

....or maybe they really do think it's visually appealing, who knows. lol.

I wasn't a gamer in the 80s, but I do understand. I have 3 NES systems and over 300 NES cartridges I collected over the years.

BTW I just love NES's design. It's simple yet effective for its time.

This romanticizing of NES is utterly stupid and idiotic.

I was a gamer even during the 70's and I believe this dressing-up your now current-gen is shamefully cheap and pretentious.

Move on dammit.
